From the moment me and my family arrived the staff were amazing, very kind very polite, and more than happy to go above and beyond for us. The room was clean and ready when we arrived for early check in, the breakfast was a very good and perfectly cooked selection. The drinks machines, and food constantly stocked up and staff ensured the food area was constantly clean which was great. Very fast food service again with a smile also at dinner times. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel we would all happily stay again on the future. Many thanks from us all for a very clean and pleasant stay!
Avoid the £3.50 for choosing a room! I chose my room online and paid for it but on the day of arrival I was told that the room was given to somebody else, this error shouldn't be possible and I should of got my refund back, the staff assured me I would get my refund back in a few working days. It has been about 9 days now. I know it is not much money but it is the principle that is the problem. Don't give the option to pay extra to pick a room and then not getting it. I was given another room and I had one very noisy child just the room opposite who screams 3 nights in a row till midnight. I did not complain about it. However if I was given the corner room as I intended some peace and quiet I would not have had to deal with that noise!nThe room itself was OK, we wasn't given enough towels for 3 people. I had to go ask for more. The room was very stuffy and hot. I have stayed in other travelodges which I felt was better aired out.nnI would not be returning to this hotel again
The staff were very helpful and friendly at reception. Eager to help or give any advice. The rooms were incredibly clean white sheets. The chef in the restaurant was incredible. It had a TV, a shower and the bed was comfortable. The room was warm but had a fan and windows can open though I had an issue closing one. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, I could rest my head. Breakfast was limited and basic with guests stealing food for themselvesnnThe parking wasn’t easy to pay for online only, however the parking machine didn’t work. The Wi-Fi signal was not the best and sometimes dropping out or refusing to connect.
We stayed for a 4day break, with two young children. Everywhere was clean. Tidy. Staff friendly. Was in walking distance of sea front where trams /buses were plentiful. Only issue was the room temperature was WAY too hot! Uncomfortably warm at times even though there was a room fan. We had to have it on all night too.
Stayed here for 2 nights having stayed previously.nnRooms are ok, beds not quite as comfy as I'd like.nnThe staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive to the point where our children actively sought them out to tell them about their day.nnOn both days you could see staff working incredibly hard around meal times, often going out of their way to help people.nnLocation is good for access to the main Merlin attractions and a short walk/drive to the Pleasure Beach the other end.nnWould definitely recommend and stay again!
