Great Service. Staff are so friendly and professional. Absolutely lovely. From the receptionist to the waiters, even the bar staff really made the experience lovely. Meals are also lovely! Went with Caledonia Travels and the whole arrangement and experience was really a good one. Although, we almost had a spoiler moment. We got one of the old rooms which almost ruin the moment, but complained to receptionist and swapped to one of the newly renovated room which was absolutely brilliant. Night Entertainment was also spot on, bingo and the entertainers were really great! Would like to revisit again. Rooms: I won't recommend the old rooms they are not good value for money at all. It might even ruin the experience. Go for the newly renovated room to enjoy your stay. Food & drinks: Food and drinks were lovely. Well prepared and good taste, although no option to choose King size portion. Portion were small, but not bad at all. Noteworthy details: Staff were really great. Don't choose old rooms for any reason in the world.
Had hesitations due to reviews of the legacy hotel 'Liberty's', but we shouldn't have. Booked this as part of a Caledonian coach trip, so all inclusive. The hotels does look a little worn in places, however you can see upgrades are being made, and the take over has only been a matter of weeks. Our room was clean and fresh. We had a sea-view room, as this is above the function area, you will get some noise, we were aware of this and planned accordingly. Entertainment didn't run too late either. There is however very little street noise. The bed we had was comfortable, room spacious and plenty of storage. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of choices and the meal was 3 courses, different each night, 3 different choices, and you made your choices in the morning for that night, so dinner service ran very smoothly. Bar is well stocked and some good entertainment at night. The stand out though of the hotel is the staff, every member from Management, reception and F&B were phenomenal. They treated guests so well, always pleasant and accommodating. They are all a credit to the hotel and the brand. It is not often you get that level of hospitality in larger hotels. Some of the best we have had, from anywhere in the world, we have visited. Rooms: Large, spacious, good storage, good thick towels and clean. Rooms appear worn but all fixtures, fitting and items worked. Bed was comfortable and 2 pillows per guest. Nearby activities: Short walk to North Pier visible from the hotel and Blackpool centre. Tram stop in front of the hotel also. Walkability: Most attractions easily accessible on foot, tram stop right outside the hotel for longer distances or reduced mobility. Food & drinks: Good selection, staff had breakfast, dinner and the bar running very efficiently.
Excellent value for money. A coach holiday with Caledonia Travel. Staff were all amazing. A typical dated Blackpool hotel but room was lovely and very clean.Lovely lounge and dining area. Plenty tea and coffee. Amazing buffet breakfast. Lovely hot dinner, good choice but probably just small portion size expected on a coach trip but definitely value for what we paid. Would definitely go again!
Staff at hotel brilliant , was my fathers 90 th birthday, We gave them the decorations, they decorated table etc , even kept the cake in their kitchen until we needed it . Choice of menu , not too keen on frozen veg , but quite nice , Came here last year artist on Monday evening was the same, so bit disappointed, We had visitors to celebrate birthday, drinks bit overpriced £2.40 for small glass tonic water, rooms bit dated but bedding , towels clean , water hot , can hear people walking about upstairs and landing creaky floorboards but that’s the hotel. Would recommend this establishment to anyone
Booked a twin room for 1 night , room 218 second floor I'm afraid the bathroom was NOT very nice rusty bath horrible sealant on bath sink base awfull !! Think manager needs to go & have a look !!! Didn't complain as only there one night but it needs looking at . The reception & entertainment area all good & dining room ok . The entertainment was good & all staff pleasant breakfast was good aswell . Rooms: Ours was not good I'm afraid .
This hotel was recently taken over by Caledonia travel,to me it looks like work in progress as regards to freshening up the building, the bedroom we were staying in was a good size, the bar/ entertainment area is quite & food was good too.
Just back from 5day break Had fab time Hotel good steff very friendly Tracy on bar duty was very friendly and good at her job .Entertainment was very good .Had bingo every night .Tuesday bingo didn't go as planned. But was soon sorted out a the female artist did a wonderful job well done you xxRooms: 4/5
Absolutely brilliant. The rooms are big and clean. Big bath and bathroom. Tea and coffee tray. We stayed from 19th January for 4 days. Room wasn't ready when we arrived, but it wasn't too long a wait. The dinner choice was good. 3 course, not very big portions if you're a big eater but we always left full. The entertainment every night was brilliant. Saturday night was exceptional, a guy called Bruce I think sang. My god, he was amazing. I could of sat there all night and listened to him!! Breakfast each morning was lovely, plenty of choice. The sausages were delicious! The only thing we didn't like was the coffee. The price we paid was super value. £89 each. 4 days 3 nights with an excursion to Liverpool on the Saturday if you wanted to go. The staff, everyone of them are pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here . We will be going again. Thank you all x
Stayed at the Caledonian tower hotel for 1 night. On arrival our room was not available until 3 o clock. We were given a room on the 3rd floor but there is a small lift. When we got on the 3rd floor the smell of wacky backy was so strong I couldn’t believe it, it was still like that next morning. The rooms are clean but dated. Our bathroom had a bath & over head shower, had to be careful as the water was red hot & could not adjust it. Overall for what you pay it wasn’t bad, the staff were friendly & the food passable so all in all it was ok
Overall experience was good. However, the food is abysmal. We were staying half board. Management Caledonian must increase the budget given to the cook. We would not stay there again. The photo is of a Ceasar salad before I started it, minus any chicken, and hardly any salad! None of the other meals were any better. The staff are lovely and the rooms were clean Rooms: Rooms are dated and a little tatty, but clean Nearby activities: Plentiful Walkability: In easy walking distance of restaurants and entertainment Food & drinks: Food is dreadful Drinks are expensive, as expected in a hotel. Noteworthy details: Staff are friendly and welcoming.
