Peckham Rye

This is a very busy station, with services to many destinations and great connections. I have been using it for 31 years and never once witnessed let alone experienced any trouble. Toilets available on platform 3. When I've needed help I've been able to get it. I don't see how others can complain that it's busy and dirty, this is London and the crowds and grime have always been a symptom of success. The station was built in the 1860s, and they didn't include lifts then, but a major upgrade is planned.

Very helpful staff helped me with a wheelchair onto my platform when I hadn't phoned ahead (phoning ahead is preferred to ensure staff are available) even though station isn't wheelchair friendly

3 stars only because station needs a bit of TLC!..and no wheelchair access; no ramps omly stairs...lots of stairs! Bit of a spruce up and it would look and feel cleaner and safer But connections are good..

Fantastic station in terms of connections for around London (over ground to East & west, London bridge, victoria, Thameslink to Bedford, etc.) But it is a little tired and old+ v dirty outside. V crowded in rush hour as u might expect esp given busy residential area it serves. Lots of local eateries if u have time in between changes. No parking close by except a council parking lot. Reasonable cost considering.
