Shadwell

Don't be fooled by the lift. Not only is it very cramped but you still need to climb the remaining 22 stairs to the platforms after taking it. Excluding that? Fairly average Overground station.

Shadwell is a station on the East London Line and is served by London Overground. The station is between Whitechapel to the north and Wapping to the south. It is located near to Shadwell DLR station. The original station was one of the oldest on the network. First opened by the East London Railway on 10 April 1876, it was first served by the District Railway and Metropolitan Railway on 1 October 1884. The station is in Travelcard Zone 2.

Good station, lifts available for use but could use stairwell (bear in mind it's about four flights of stairs). Easy to enter and exit, though perhaps better signage information needed for the two exits.

A long way down to the overground with 78 steps, about 2/3rds of which can be done in the lefts. The platforms are quite narrow here too.

Overground and DLR, lift access available, cash points outside station, grocery shops and small coffee shops, fish n chips very close by.
