Perfect setting for a special meal. The ambience and food matches the surroundings. A top quality venue...very good value for money at lunch time. Staff first rate and know how to make you have an unforgettable occasion. Totally deserves my first 5 star rating for out of town dining.

Lovely Mother's Day lunch. Seriously good Sunday lunch with well seasoned winter veg. Simple homely food like this takes skill!

Unique venue that's always a pleasure to visit, we stayed overnight with an excellent meal in the evening followed by a tasty breakfast the next day. The rooms are comfortable yet still have all the charm and unique features you would expect from a house with a lot of history.

We went to Langar hall for the three course lunch menu. The staff were extremely polite, attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was extremely classical in its decor but BA little cold as side door was being opened regularly. The menu presented nice but limited choice for vegetarians. Quality of the food was good but a little cold and could have been served with more gravy . Overall a pleasant afternoon with lovely views and fitness to explore.
