Have been using Kostas Fish Bar for years very friendly staff and never had a bad meal. Particularly love the cod chips and peas. Have even been with the grand children who are very hard to please and they were won over. Cannot praise highly enough. Keep it up.

We ate here once before and it’s absolutelt cracking food and service with a smile. Highly recommended. Then today had an emergency where my toddler couldn’t hold his wee anymore and the owner very kindly let us use the toilet and, what’s more, when we got out he gave my child a lolly pop. So kind and we will definitely be back again - for food again, this time! :-)

Great chip shop in Matlock,been going there for years when up there on the bike. Always fun to sit outside and watch the world go by witth either a cup of tea or a bag of hot fresh chips. Excellent

We weren't exactly very happy in this fish&chips shop. It took a while to get the order. It can be fair enough if you know it's really freshly cook. We asked for curry sauce with our order (take away). Our experience is to get it on the side in the special cup when you have take away. Unfortunately we got all sauce all over the chips which soaked them and we couldn't use it for fish. Sad think was that my chips weren't cooked enough. Other thing is that I've been told that this shop is more expensive but better. I can't prove it, sorry. There was a nice girl taking order but the rest was slow. The cook was talking to his friends instead of cooking, sauce all over not cooked chips. I won't come back. There are better places in the area.
