A truely amazing pub in a beautiful village. Great beer, good simple food dine excellently and with great service. A place full of character with open fire, a snug area with wood burner, a great bar and pretty sunken garden. Popular with locals and tourists alike. A great variety of local guest ales, live music, quiz nights it's a hub of the community and a destination.

Came for a meal after we read the reviews, very disappointed with the food. Wife had the Sausage mash and onion gravy..... .....mash was very lumpy and watery and the gravy was just gravy and not a sniff of any onion. I had the blue and black burger... ....so greasy I had to wipe my hands and mouth after every mouthful. And the cheese was the most saltiest ever. Nice friendly people, dogs are very welcome but the food let them down. We won't be going back.

Brilliant pub. Great atmosphere. The beer is excellent and the locals very friendly. We joined in the pub quiz. Lost but had great fun doing it and a few great snacks during!

Lovely nice friendly pub! Nice and cosy as the fires were lit on a wet day! Dog friendly. Food looked lovely so would go back to sample it!
