o my god, i cant explain the joy and my excitementnin words. i was just randomly walking on road in Matlock bath and my friend told me that there was a cable wire and we can go in there.nso we just bought the ticket without knowing what is at the top of the hills.nbut when we reached there o my god we all amazed by the beauty of nature , the full view pf the city and the big hills that was looking so so good. we enjoyed a lot over there , taking so many pictures which i am sharing right now and had a lunch over there and seriously its all worth it. i definitely recommending this place to visit.
We had an absolutely fabulous day out here. All the staff were very friendly and approachable.nWe had a fantastic tour around one of the caverns and our guide Eliza was super funny and enthusiastic, she cheered us all up with how energetic and engaging she was. Definitely worth a visit with the family.nAlso a big thank you to the lady in the long view gift shop bit for showing me the coin collection display book. Sorry I didn't catch your name but the book has been an absolute life saver.
We arrived between 10-11am and the car park was a little busy but we used the overflow with no issues, the cable car to the top was an enjoyable ride and went quicker than we expected.nnWe were greeted at the top by a friendly staff member who explained where everything was with a big welcome smile.nnWe headed up the viewing tower which gave incredible views of the surrounding area, and then we headed for the cavern tour with the Seismic exhibit which was hosted by a lovely girl called Sophie who was very knowledgeable and entertaining.nnThe caverns itself were interesting and stunning but be prepared for some long steep stairwells and lots of crouching under rockfaces.nnWe had a great time but be prepared for some very very steep walkways and stairs throughout the entire visit.
Great place, helpful lovely staff, cable cars are amazing. Cave tour was very good. Little shops are lovely and great views and play parks. Easy parking advice. easy ticket purchase, will 100% reccomend.
Having gone on an all day hike the previous day I was pretty exhausted - so we decided to ride on the cable car and have a more leisurely day!nnWe parked in the car park at Matlock Bath Station, and walked for 5 minutes along the path to reach the entrance.nnWe hadn’t booked tickets in advance we visited on a Wednesday afternoon but there was no wait to purchase tickets or to get on the cable car. The ride takes around 5 minutes and the views are fabulous.nnAt the top there’s a café, restaurant, and bathrooms. The price of the ticket also includes both the guided cave tours. Because we got there quite late and my son wanted lunch we only time for one of the cave tours - which was informative but a lot of fun.nnWe decided to catch the last cable car back down at 4pm rather than explore the area and walk back down.nnWe really enjoyed our visit, but I would have liked to have gone earlier to really make the most of our time there and maximise the cost of the ticket.nnHighly recommended.
