Michelin starred fish and chips and mushy peas, curry sauce and a childs sausage and chips with curry sauceor other and you also get a drink of choice. The fish was fresh, the batter lovely and crispy, chips very tasty and mushy peas, curry sauce perfect. Excellent service from the staff they couldn't do enough for you very Welcoming Very clean and tidy. We very much enjoyed it. This chip shop is a must! Wonder fresh cooked chips and fish, if we lived in matlock area this would be one of our best chip shops we would eat at. Even my daughter who doesn't like fish unless it tastes really fresh and she loved it. Staff very helpful and understanding and polite. They couldn't do enough to help us, Very clean too. I had a small mini fish and it was big enough to feed two of me, my mum had the same and she couldn't eat all her fish. We will definitely eat here again and I have told my sisters to eat here when and if they ever visit matlock bath or matlock. Thank you for the lovely food and help.
Found this quite mediocre. I had take away pie and chips. The pie wasn't ready and needed to be microwaved so fair enough, the chips were soft and portion size miserly. Not sure why it is so hard to get decent chips in Matlock Bath. Will stick to the Market Place chippy in Ashbourne in future.Food: 3/5

The food was just what we wanted - freshly cooked cod with great chips & sides.
Put a sign up saying haddock comes with skin on. And a arge fish was the size of a minnow. Won't be coming again.Food: 1/5
