We were staying local and were recommended this place. They have a very good selection of real ales, some of which which we were going to order with food on a Sunday. We got to the bar to order at 7:45pm only to be told that they were no longer serving food, despite the website stating that it's served until 8:00pm. When this was pointed out to the barman, he simply shrugged. There were five people near us waiting to order who were equally disappointed when they heard this. We left and found a very good restaurant instead.

A busy family pub serving food inside and outside. There is a fish pond with mini waterfall and three outside spaces. Food is typical pub grub but there are a selection of very nice stonebaked pizzas all reasonably priced. Service is friendly. Be prepared for kids kids and more kids. At one point on the bench table we were at we had four children jumping on the opposite bench making our table bounce and parents completely ignoring the fact that their kids were ruining our meal. This place is nice but so busy it becomes stressful. I would only come back at quieter times.

Very pleasantly surprised by the food here! The pizza was baked perfectly and there is even a vegan option. If you're looking for a nice meal in the area or just an alternative to fish and chips then this place is a great bet.

Food was nice but we had a long wait for it to be served. Portions are huge. Pub is probably too busy if you'd like a cosy meal

Visited The Fishpond for the 1st time today, a couple of pints of Birra Moretti and pizzas all for less than £25. 👍 The pizzas were amazing, very well prepared and cooked with very generous helping of toppings, they were the best pizzas I think I've ever tasted. 😉 Also had some parmesan chips, which were a bit of a let down because I was expecting them to be baked with the cheese on but they were basically cheesy chips. Other than that, 1st class day out whilst on holiday, even the dogs were allowed in. 👍👍
