A lovely place to eat. Food possibly best in Matlock Bath, if you are not wanting a chip shop menu. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a wait for meals but worth it. A pot of tea is just that, but may benefit from an extra tea bag. No complaints at all.
I've visited this nice place Saturday morning at 09:30 on my motorbike travels and the service was excellent. Full English cooked to perfection with some nice bread, great selection of cakes etc. Clean toilets located at the back, I'll definitely come back when in the area. Great job everyone!!Food: 5/5
Stopped by for food on a hot day, very happy to sit under the aircon. And what food! We had stacks of pancakes - the Biscoff one pictured was amazing - and smoothies. Fantastic stuff!
Stumbled upon this place and so glad we did, the staff were really friendly, everything looked very appealing but my daughter and myself had scones, my daughter had a cheese scone which was served warm with packets of butter and I didn't get chance to try but was told it was delicious, I had a fruit scone which was also served warm with clotted cream, jam and the biggest strawberry I think I've ever seen, I had a Americano with this which came with a good amount of milk, all served in good time and would definitely return.
We were impressed by the quality of the food served here. I ordered a chicken, bacon and stilton panini and the quality was very good. A great range of freshly baked cakes complements the pleasant experience. We can highly recommend this place.
Cute little cafe in Matlock Bath. Very friendly staff, great selection of homemade foods and nice atmosphere. Everything was clean and tidy, plus there was baby changing facilities in the ladies. Rude and Racist. Would not recommend, the way we were spoken to was really unacceptable. In response to the owners comment below. Actually we ordered 3 coffees, a teapot of tea, scone and a cake. So please get your facts right. It does not matter how many tables we were taking up, we ordered food and had every right to sit there. Its not like you had a line of customers waiting and there was not enough tables. You were rude and your behaviour was very unprofessional, considering there were little children sitting there.
Visited last Saturday with a friend and had the most amazing afternoon tea! The food was fabulous and there was so much we had to bring the cakes home. Everything was brilliant - the staff, the service even the crockery was a joy. We'll be back again.Food: 5/5
Really lovely food and friendly staff, a real surprise for quality of food to be honest but we all enjoyed our lunches! Seemed highly priced but actually very worth it, coffee was good and lunch was tasty. Highly recommended along the main stretch, in fact looking at the others I would definitely go back here for the food!
