Lovely little cafe home made cakes great staff oldy world style.but realy nice will call again.
Not at all what I was expecting. The décor was cutesy but some of the tea's were grocery shop brands own! Not what you would expect from a shop primarily selling teas - maybe some nice loose leaf tea's or even tea pig maybe - just not something that I have in my cupboard for every day use. The cups and saucers were plain, and stained, and the cake selection was extremely limited and obviously bought in, and not from somewhere posh. If the owners put as much effort into the product as they have in the website, this place would be incredible, but I was embarrassed to have suggested it to my friends, and really disappointed
This was very disappointing with canned soup, white sliced bread slightly stale after advertising a bread roll and shop/grocery bought cakes. The cappucino was watery and tasteless and I think a 'mix'. The toilet was not open which I think is unacceptable without a sign to inform you of this before ordering. I would not recommend this place.
Like stepping into another world. Weird atmosphere. They don't accept card. I almost admire the audacity of serving Sainsburys own brand fruit tea and proudly displaying the box by the cakes.
A quintessential British tea Room. Great tea, that Victorian feel and not so good coffee.
I am a young pregnant lady, I went into this cafe for a coffee, sit down because I’m pregnant and to use the toilet. I asked the old lady where the toilet was as I have never been here before. She looked at me in discusst, looked like she was chewing on a sour lemon and snapped at me “Are you a customer!?” Of which I replied “Yes I’ve come in for coffee but I need the toilet.” She then snapped at me in a foul manner “Well you can’t use the toilet if you are not buying and there’s someone already in there.” I told her I was buying and repeated myself but told her not to bother as I won’t be spoke to like that. And I just walked out. What a disgusting attitude that woman had with me, I would never ever in my life time recommend this caffe to anyone let alone my worst enemy, it didn’t even look clean, I don’t think the lady has heard of a duster also, very dull and dindgy in there needs brightening up and a young person behind the counter not a old lady chewing a lemon that clearly doesn’t like pretty young people. Do not go here unless you want to have a rude person serve you and your head snapping off, well I don’t.
A quiet and quaint little place to go and relax. It was cold outside on the day were there and the warmth of the place was most welcome. Had a great cup of coffee and enjoyed the tranquility of this lovely teashop
In need of refurbishment. Although a very busy bank holiday weekend practically empty. Tea and cake was okay though
