We stopped by last weekend whilst in the area and we were told that the pub is on the verge of re-opening .... The gardens, hedges and car park were being tidied up, new plants evident, the old Marstons Pub sign had just been removed, and the beer had been delivered....... Looking forward to it!
Nice pub with lots of outdoor space and children's play area. Camping is also good, reasonably priced and space for caravans and tents. Short walk across fields or drive to Carsington res. Pub food was nice, fair price, good food offering. Easy access and toilets for wheel chairs or children.
Nice pub and large grassy garden with children's play area. Good food being ordered all around us although we only needed a lite snack. Real ales served and usual lagers, wines etc. Good and helpful staff.
We had a great lunch at the Knockerdown. Food was excellent and service fantastic. Staff were very friendly. We sat and ate in the garden with our dogs. Would thoroughly recommend!

Called last minute to get a mothers day treat booked and wasn't a problem, the place was clean, and the staff were very friendly I was surprised that there were no menus on the tables but there was one behind the bar on a big board I didn't need my specs to read it was a small menu but I would say it would cater for most likes dislikes. The food came piping hot and extremely tasty, we all cleared our plates. And the deserts were lovely. Would definatly go back,
Great for your man vs food challenges. The monster grill was finished in 12 mins from our fastest team member. Clean plates from all 6 members of the team followed. Shout out Rishi for 50% off. My guy.
Excellent service, great food, reasonably priced. Good choice. Lovely views.
Lovely pub nice outside space with plenty of seating and a play area for kids. Called on Sunday for a Roast but sadly they had sold out as they looked lovely. We had meals from the main menu Steak Pie, Chicken Pie and Gammon all lovely and piping hot. Staff polite and friendly would recommend especially for families.
Wonderful country pub. Called for a quick drink after walking round Carsington. Staff were great and cleaning none stop during these difficult times. Great beer selection and kept very well. Will be back.
