We had our Christmas Day lunch from the Bowling Green, it was fantastic, everything reheated to perfection by following the instructions. Delicious and easy.
They very kindly accepted us a walk-in. The food was good, all though I thought the wings could have used more seasoning. My partner really enjoyed his pie. This place is basically what you'd expect - good comfort food served by a friendly waitstaff. And very good value for money.
Visited the Bowling Green Inn many times whilst on holiday in the area . We visited today whilst on our staycation, very Covid secure and as usual food lovely and tasty

Great food! All meals made as ordered and all sauces and extras were lovely. If you like haggis, try it with the steak as apparently it is very good haggis according to my husband!. Great staff too.
Eating Out to Help Out; a great scheme and, an even better way to support local eateries - delighted to see this and many other Ashbourne places getting back on their feet. We have eaten here twice in the last week. Both times the food and service have been excellent. The steaks really are amazing as is the Sunday roast. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. We would certainly love to go back.
Good to park, awesome 24 ounce medium rare t bone steak. Great service.
