Great location within walking distance to the train station and city center. The rooms are ok with comfy bed and pillows but probably will be renovated soon. The rest of the hotel is very nice. Buffet breakfast was also very good. We had an issue with our shower and the manager Larissa was excellent in helping us out and even gave us some drinks vouchers for the bar. Overall we enjoyed it and I would recommend it for a lads weekend.
The room was clean and has a great view. It's not very modern but overall the stay was nice, comfortable bed and pillows. It was a short walk from the bus station, and the city centre itself. The room service steak was very tasty and well seasoned. Even if you don't order sauce to go with it, it will still be flavourful.nnThe only downside was that the walls were very thin, and we were woken up many times during the night with people running in the corridors and knocking on doors. You can hear everything.
The hotel dates and tired looking, definitely needs refurbishment and redecorating.nThe staff are amazing and very helpful and professional. The first night I found there was mold around the bathtub and sink so talked to the reception and they gave me a different room which might have been an upgraded room as the carpets were new and the room didn't look as tired.nThe location is great and a 10 minute walk into central Leeds, and also a similar length walk to the shopping area that has Next outlet and other stores. There is payable parking on the street which is affordable.
The location is excellent, the receptionist is friendly, and the breakfast is good both the food and customer service. Also really liked the little chocolates I got in my room . However, my overall stay at the hotel has been disappointing so far. I tried ordering rice as a healthy side dish but was told it would take an hour to prepare on a Monday. If i had ordered it and it been good, I would have ordered it for the rest of the week for convenience.nnAdditionally, there have been four false fire alarms—two at night and two during the day—with no apologies for the inconvenience.nnOn a more minor note, the shower is frustrating to use, as you have to run it from cold to hot every time you turn it. The shower gel and shampoo dispensers also take a few minutes before they can be pressed again, which is inconvenient.
Staff are lovely and the lobby is lovely - that’s where the good points for this hotel stopped. I checked out and requested a full refund within 5 minutes of arriving because of how dingy and dark the bedroom was, not to mention the 1970s bathrooms… for a supposedly 4* hotel the rooms were absolutely disgusting, reminded me more of a motorway Travelodge than a 4* city centre hotel. Such a let down as I had high hopes on entering the lobby. Checked into the Clayton instead.
