This is a great store. It has such a wide variety of products available. We did struggle a bit to find some assistance but this did not trouble us too much. Great selection in their kitchen department.
When visiting John Lewis, I noticed that most of the brands available in-store already have their own shops in the same mall or within walking distance. As a customer, I’d really like to see more variety — especially good-quality brands that don’t have their own branches in Edinburgh. That would make the in-store experience more interesting and worthwhile, giving customers a chance to discover and try something new.nnJohn Lewis is generally one of the most diverse department stores, offering a wide range of products. However, they need to improve their in-store collection. Many items, especially perfumes, are often unavailable in-store and must be ordered online. The in-store selection feels quite limited, which makes it hard to try or compare products before purchasing.nnWhat’s also a bit puzzling is that they dedicate sections to brands that already have standalone stores just a short walk away — like Tommy Hilfiger or Barbour. It raises the question: why visit John Lewis for these brands when they’re easily accessible nearby?nnI’d recommend that John Lewis focus on bringing in high-quality, popular brands that don’t have nearby branches — for example, Cole Haan for shoes or Lacoste — to create a stronger competitive advantage. Overall, this feedback mainly reflects the in-store shopping experience
John Lewis is a large store with a wide variety of products. You can find almost everything you need here, all with high quality.
Not being very knowledgeable about technology, buying a television is quite difficult. The staff were wonderful, polite and knowledgeable. Above all else John Lewis is the first store that I have been in and has told me the truth about blue tooth headphones and their compatibility with televisions. Thank you John Lewis for your honest staff and because of this we bought the television. It's arriving next Wednesday.
Superb service from Tracey in the bedding department. Couldn't have been more helpful and patient. Also lovely treats for our dog. Thank you so much!
