Took a ring to have it resized in the morning and it was returned to me in the afternoon, fitting perfectly and looking brand new. The pricing, customer service and quality are fantastic. Will be recommending this company.
I’ve been to jewellery by design twice now to have several rings resized and reshaped, and they are absolutely fantastic. It is a small family run business with a workshop on site. They have a huge amount of knowledge about jewellery and the quality of their work is amazing, and fast! Both times I visited them I got my rings back within a few hours, beautifully cleaned and at a great price. Can’t recommend enough!
Andy and his wife are both very helpful, I went to see them several months ago now just after lockdown 2021 ended as I wanted to see how my rings would wear before posting a honest review. Andy came up with a solution for changing the setting of one of my rings, he carried out the work and the finished product was fantastic, he also re-dipped five of my white gold colour rings and done a claw setting repair on another ring for me, all were perfect. So I am now writing this review to say firstly how grateful I am to them both for undertaking all my repairs and to report that all my rings still look like new. Also where else can you get your repairs done without them having to be posted to a goldsmith elsewhere in the country! How great is it to have a local professional goldsmith, Thank you both.
Top notch service with a can do approach welcoming personality and finished with excellent workmanship on my jewellery.
My friend recommended this independent Jeweller to me, my ring of 30 years was out of shape and I was worried about who I took it to, to sort it out. My friend had had very good experiences using this Jeweller. I went along today and was so happy with the first class treatment my ring was reshaped and polished and ready in half an hour. I also had a couple of rings valued. This is definitely a first class Jewellers and I would highly recommend and I will be back. Thank you!
Had a great experience with Jewellery By Design . Left two rings and a necklace all three were very difficult jobs , especially the rings . Andy dealt with all three items First Class , in manner and had sheer experience dealing with these hand craft items I gave him . Any items you may be concerned with in your Jewellery collection , don’t worry , Jewellery By Design with deal with it to the highest standard ! 11/10
This man sold me a pair of 9 carat gold earrings as 18 carat- I saw the hallmark with my loupe when I got home, I didn't ask to see it in the shop as I trusted him, as I should rightly have been able to. I went back and he said he thought they were 18 carat. I don't know what's worse- a professional jeweller with years of experience not being able to tell the difference, or a jeweller who commits fraud. Either way I will not be going back, and urge any other customers to be on guard.
The owners were interested and helpful when making a ring into a necklace, choosing designs and chain length with me. It was done very quickly which was a pleasant surprise. It means I can enjoy a family inheritance better, and has been much admired.
Had rings resized previously and today had a watch battery fitted while I waited. Lovely owners and excellent service.
