The Goldsmiths Welwyn team are simply wonderful - in particular Sam and Jerome. We recently bought a Tagheur watch for our son’s 21st birthday and asked if we could organise to bring him in as a surprise and gift it to him. We arrived on the agreed day and Sam had organised balloons, a birthday card, chocolate and an entire fitting experience. Both Sam and Jerome are wonderful, fun, personable and genuinely caring people who wanted to make this a memorable moment for us all. They certainly did! They went above and beyond and we will definitely be recommending them and returning for future purchases. Thank you Sam, Jerome and Team Goldsmiths Welwyn!
Not super impressed, they told us we could resize our wedding bands free of charge within a month of purchase. When I got the ring, it was too tight and I wanted to resize mine by half a size, I was told I could would need to pay extra . Which I wasn’t informed about when purchasing. The amount was trivial, but I hate being lied to. So I just refunded and will buy the ring elsewhere, at the larger size. We won’t be using these folks again.
More a review of the company than this particular store however it’s about the only way to contact them! Quite possibly the worst customer service ever. I placed an order with next day delivery over a week ago and it’s still not here. I have been given three other dates and it failed to show on all of them. As for customer service, you queue on the phone but when you get to position one, it automatically cuts you off. Three times it’s done that tonight. The live chat puts you in a queue however you can go from position 4 to 6 in an instant and be waiting for hours to connect. You can request a call back but no one ever does. As it stands, I’m going to have to charge back the £900 order on my credit card. Yet more hassle I shouldn’t have.
Have made multiple purchases from the Goldsmiths & Watches of Switzerland group, but I must say Goldsmiths Welwyn Garden City offer a step up in customer service and I always walk out of this showroom feeling like I've been looked after. Angela is always super polite, either on the phone or in person and Michelle I think that's her name has adjusted watch bracelets for myself & my wife on multiple occasions - always with a smile on her face and never hesitating to let us pop down for any adjustments. Even over the Christmas period when retail can be manic and stressful, the ladies in the Welwyn branch are always warm and welcoming. Thanks again Michelle, Angela and the team!
On the rarest occasion of I entering Jewelers shop on direction of wife. I was pleasantly surprised to have the burden lifted. Excellent lady assistant who patiently helped wife to find exactly what she wanted, Guided in useing discount vouchers. Absolutely excellent service! smile's all around.
We had an excellent visit choosing our wedding rings at Goldsmiths recently. The team were so helpful and friendly. The choice of bands and rings was brilliant with something for every budget. After trying on a few styles, I chose and ordered a beautiful ring that arrived less than 48 hours later into store to collect. I am so happy with it and cannot wait to wear it. I would highly recommend Goldsmiths for wedding ring browsing and shopping.
Had such an amazing experience at Goldsmith’s at Welwyn Garden City. Angela was ace at getting me the jewellery that was not originally in stock at the branch. When I called to check if it had arrived, she was patient and helpful and also resourceful. Then when I went to collect it, I was served by Nicola who was absolutely lovely and treated me as though I was the most important customer spending zillions on jewels. I could have stayed there for ages but I would have been a pauper by the end. The final touches of thoughtfulness to seal earrings in the event that the gifts weren’t liked and the beautiful boxes and bags just made the experience one of my best in retail. Thank you ladies and keep up the good work.
I visited the shop to purchase an 18th birthday gift. Nicola who served us was extremely attentive and knowledgeable on the product we were looking at. Nicola also followed up with an email to ask if were happy with the service or required further assistance. Definitely recommend Goldsmiths.
Rare that I leave a review after a shopping trip but had a wonderful experience today when searching for a graduation watch. Jake was great help and gave solid recommendations on a watch that complimented my style and budget. Will be back for sure!
Fantastic service from Jake who spent ages with us selecting a watch for my wife. He even came in on his day off so we could pick it up on a convenient day. Top notch. We will come again!
