Cool gym. Open 24 hours. Main toilet closes from 12 till 6. Female cleaner in male toilet bruhhh. They cry if you don’t wear shoes to workoutrules only apply during the day. I workout by 2am, no one cares.
It's okay, just very untidy with weights all over the place on the floor everywhere. I couldn't find a set of matching weights due to this. Some equipment isn't as modern as Preston JD. They have punch bags though Didn't use changing room or facilities. Extended 1hr car parking needs to be made more visible, additional signage needed to prevent £100 Fines. Lone female, felt uneasy on the car park with homeless people outside the Gym late at night. Tvs with subtitles and music
I used to like JD but since they renovate and removed staff became dirty, everywhere toilets, mirrors, floors, a lot of broken equipments, torn mats, looks like no one is looking after.nPicts taken at 14pm….nA quite sad I will probably look another place to work out.nnAnswering JD feedback, would be good to spend more money on maintenance and housekeeping.. otherwise you will have this feeling working out in an old gym. I had been in others JD and today I can say the Bolton unit is abandoned.
The gym is well-equipped with a variety of machines and free weights, making it a great place for a solid workout. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. However, the biggest downside is how busy it gets most of the time. It can be frustrating to wait a long time just to use certain equipment, especially during peak hours. If you're looking for a quick and smooth workout, this might not be the best place unless you can go during off-peak times.
After a long break and searching for the right gym, I joined JD Gym Bolton and started training with Seth. I’ve met many instructors over the years, but Seth is truly one-of-a-kind. He’s goal-oriented, always encouraging, and genuinely invested in my progress. Even when I’m not feeling motivated, he’s there to lift me up, set daily goals, and hold me accountable. Seth makes it feel like my success is his personal mission, always checking in and never letting me slack. I couldn’t ask for a better trainer – he’s simply the best!nnAlso Sam is a fantastic manager at JD Gym Bolton! He’s always friendly, approachable, and willing to help with anything you need. His positive attitude creates a great environment for everyone. I always leave feeling motivated and supported. Highly recommend this gym under Sam’s leadership!
