This is a large station, with many lines going through it, easy to get lost in if not careful.nIt's clean and looks good to a tourists eye. Sadly the Paddington bear store was closed when we were there, would have been fun to shop in.
Paddington can be quite confusing due to the numerous train lines it serves. Ensure you know your destination before heading to a specific platform. Otherwise, the station is very clean and well-structured. The regular flow of passengers also contributes to a sense of safety.
The underground service on the Bakerloo line arises some distance from the main concourse but has been extensively refurbished. It now offers bright and clean access past a variety of retail outlets convenient for the commuting public and long distance visitors.
A major terminus train station with trains arriving from the west/north west/south west, including Reading and Oxford. Resident station resurrected of the classic 'Great Western Railway' company, in dark green. Fast trains to Heathrow airport. The station is easily reached by the tube: Hammersmith & City, Circle Line, but watch out for steps in some places. It's quite a busy station with the usual shops to send you off to your destination.
We walked the way from the Rembrandt Gardens to the Paddington station and it was really adorable. The blue Paddington bear statue was a lovely surprise. The station itself is very modern and big, but easy to walk around.
