AVOID Went here yesterday with son for food and was hoping for some nice food as the sizzling pubs in newcastle are banging…. Boy was I wrong, Placed order for 3 starters to share and ordered our mains and drinks at same time. First then brought the starters out then 1min later bringing mains out too‍‍ I ordered mix grill for £13.99 plus extra for a steak sauce, can out on a big plate and was laid about on the plate to try and fill it. Plate was cold and food just warm. Son’s main came out on a sizzling skillet not sizzling and food was sloppy. Been to better cafes for food and presentation off food here is diabolical I was planing to get more drinks and desserts and I said to my son I’m not giving this place any more off my money I’m going to put 2 photos up and this is what a mix grill at a sizzling pub should look like and what we get all the time in Newcastle And the other photo is the appalling mix grill from the two brothers pub Southampton
Tried this establishment following a friend's recommendation. I booked a table, thankfully, as it was extremely busy. Considering how busy it was the food didn't take too long to appear. We both had sizzlers, I had an 8oz sirloin and my wife had a chicken one. Both cooked very well, with a nice presentation. Very good value for money, our bill came to £37 including a glass of wine each. We were both too full for a pudding! Would definitely recommend this venue and we will be back! Wheelchair accessibility: Separate door with a ramp for wheelchair users.
Truck driver, walked to this pub, service quick, ordered steak was spot on. Beer good staff more than helpful, watched darts with locals, spot onFood: 4/5
Booked a table, got a call hour before to say limited menu due to low stock arrived for booking and only 3 things off menu so all was well. Went to bar to order and was waiting for 12/15 minutes to be served until we decided our money should be spent somewhere else. Staff were looking at us stood at the bar and were constantly walking past. Staff were more interested in the drunk locals winning on the machine. The pub had a very rowdy atmosphere and not somewhere i'd look to return to any time soon!
Love the quiz and go every week. Unless something urgent happens. Its my local and go quite often. But have only just started using the app. My visit couldn't be improved. Drinks were served in a timely manner and staff are always politeFood: 5/5
Wow I don’t think I have ever had such a great experience at a pub let alone one that sells food! At their busiest time we still had the best service. I’ll definitely be coming back! Leanne gave us the 5* service we very much needed after such an appalling couple of times out for food elsewhere!Food: 5/5
Came to Southampton to visit my brother ironicaly and we came here for lunch. I had a Chilli Dawg, he had a burger. His burger was good, but my hot dog was excellent. Although very spicy! Pub has good atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Despite being extremely busy football was on the service was pretty quick. Prices are pretty good too. £12 each including a drink each.
I have been visiting this pub for a few years now and I must say they now have a good selection of team members behind the bar. Always nice to visit a pub and know you can walk in to a smile and have a laugh with the staff members that are assisting you. Leanne behind the bar is very friendly and always makes me feel welcome.Food: 5/5
Staff lovely as usual. Atmosphere was pleasant. But the food has really hine down hill. I always order the salad because it was one of the best places to get a really nice salad. But the last 2 times I've eaten here itsbeen awful. Definitely not as described on the menu. Shame!Food: 3/5
