Very helpful and attentive staff. Room was spacious, clean and well stocked with tea/coffee supplies. Comfortable bed was a blessing after a long day. Good powerful shower which also had an attached hair/bodywash. Lovely soft towels Ample parking immediately outside reception

A nice place with friendly staff. Daily breakfast, which we added to our stay, is great! The rooms are adequate, nothing fancy, but everything works and there are no stains or anything broken. Parking seemed odd at first but the back parking lot is actually closer to the rooms, so yay.

I visited on a quiet Monday night. I was seated quickly which was great and the staff were all very polite. The quality of the food and the time to serve drinks etc was poor. I had to ask twice for my beverage and was close to asking a third time before it arrived. I think I chose badly with the lamb rump. No flavour and extremely tough. It's described as served pink which is usually how I like it cooked but this was poor. It should be served with a steak knife but no service around to ask for one. Sweet potato wedges are soggy and unseasoned. Prawns as a starter were lovely and Aspall cider on tap but much better places within a 2 minute walk who charge half the price for better food. £34 for a starter, main and 1 drink should warrant a much better standard. Sadly, I found a pot noodle in my brief case which has been there for a year and it was a more satisfying dinner. I wanted to feed this back in a constructive way after my main course but at no point was I asked how my meal was or how I enjoyed it. Traders restaurant, I will be happy for you to contact me as I am not one to make a fuss but tonight's dinner was extremely poor for the price.

Lovely hotel but stayed with a coach party and were treated as second class in the restaurant with small portions at dinner and restricted buffet at breakfast (as we were leaving they brought out extras which were not available to us).

Very enjoyable stay. Rooms very spacious with very good bathroom. Food excellent and staff very friendly and efficient. Would recommend it highly and would be most happy to stay there again.
