My wife and I spent two nights here in mid Sep 2022. Accommodations were basic, very clean, comfortable and all the plumbing worked ... what more do you need for two nights? What let the place down was the 'all you could eat breakfast' ... next door at the attached restaurant. Food was great ... no issues ... in fact delicious ... but the service? There was one lady on duty, and to be fair she did a good job trying to cope ... but they were seriously understaffed. Breakfast orders were not taken, tables were dirty, no coffee cups, T-pots or plates ... just very poor organization and service. Next time I will try and find another hotel ...
You'll get a great night sleep here, as long as: a You're lucky enough to get a quiet room e.g. not facing the dual carriageway that's a stones throw away, or b You're hard-of-hearing or enjoy wearing ear plugs in bed, or c You don't mind sleeping in the bathroom, or d You find the constant noise of speeding traffic pleasantly soothing Otherwise, you'd be better off staying somewhere else. Standard Premier Inn rooms, food/drink etc.
Typical Premier Inn routine. If your wanting to rest in your room avoid low numbers 1,3,5 etc as these back onto to A19. Even with the windows closed and curtains, you do get an annoying background noise of traffic passing. Worse if its been raining. Breakfast and front of house staff very helpful. I would stay again, avoiding those rooms listed earlier. 2022-11-08 Just added new pictures of the updated rooms. These are great, I only wish there were more of them. Would I recommend most definitely. Clean modern, sockets next to the bed and no noisy bathroom fan. Would love to stay in these rooms again. Rooms between 130 - 145 ish..
Rooms are very nice, bed comfy, tea n coffee Inc, corridor carpet looking a bit worn, no lifts, reception staff are good, nothing outside hotel walkable, tight on parking so sometimes have to park in The Wessington car park which is attached to Premier InnRooms: 4/5
Staying for work. Stayed for a week, The reception staff were outstanding, nothing too much trouble, friendly and very accommodating. The room was huge, clean and inviting! Super comfy bed, big bathroom too The pub attached was great. Meal deals available for breakfast and evening meal, great food , good choices and again the staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble Highly recommend this premier inn
Very well priced. Extremely kind stuff. The reason I had to rate this Premier Inn with 3 stars is due to the following; - No AC in the bedroom, just a loud fan that had complicated controls hence it kept shutting off throughout the night - Bedroom was HUGE but not furnished in a smart way, hence it looks and feels like a huge empty room - Dinner took ages to arrive and Only had a bit from the steak as it was extremely chewy
Was very good but was disappointed with how long a was waiting to be seated as it was quiet when went for breakfast. Think a couple of packets of complimentary biscuits to go with a cup of tea goes along way.Rooms: 4/5
They need to make there rooms more accessible also let people open windows even just a little bit to let fresh air inRooms: 2/5
Perfectly convenient location, pub close by, lots of parking. Although I didn't have the breakfast this time round it usually is very good. The staff are so kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and bright. Definitely worth a stay
Stayed here with hubby to attend nearby party. Room was spacious and clean. The only gripe was the air conditioning didn't work and there was a fan provided instead. This sounded like a Boeing 747 coming into land but it was so hot we had to use it, hence bad nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful and in particular the breakfast staff. Brekky was plentiful and tasty but the buffet style wasn't available, you ordered at your table but could have anything you wanted. Ideally placed for where we wanted to be and not expensive so four stars.
