Worst receptionist ever. I use Travelodge quite a lot and this was without doubt my worst experience. It took 16 minutes to summon the receptionist to check in and there was no acknowledgment at all of the delay, and not the slightest hint of an apology. It isn't unusual for Travelodge receptionists to be away from the desk but they carry some sort of paging device and there's a clearly marked button on the counter. Most times someone appears in under a minute, smiles, and apologizes for the delay. I pressed the page button every 2-3 minutes here, so the receptionist must have known I was waiting. Apart from not acknowledging the delay she wasn't actually rude, but radiated what I felt was an unpleasant attitude. I got the usual speech about 'if there is anything you want just ask yet by the time I had dropped my bag in my room and returned - straight away - to ask something, she had disappeared again and I didn't fancy another long wait. Travelodge is usually a friendly, efficient, budget motel but this is definitely the worst reception I have had in many years staying with them up and down the country. If it had been my first time I would never have wanted to use Travelodge again.

Normal motorway services not great but not bad, toilets are regularly cleaned but could do with being renovated. Not a great range of places/types of food to eat

It is a Travelodge - consistently middle of the road accommodation. Cheap and clean but not very cheerful.

Easy access to either aide via bridge. Greggs burger king and costa.
