Stayed at the weekend. Good location a few yards away from a Metro station.nCheck in was easy and friendly, we were allocated room 209. It is not possible to get there without going up or down stairs and is a bit of a walk round the many corridors. The room itself was clean but very worn. It would not inspire me to return.
I have stayed here a lot with my work and I find it’s an easy hotel to get in and out of Newcastle. Rooms are ok but they are now getting a bit tired and could do with a refresh. The restaurant is really good and does more variety than a normal holiday inn. Staff are very knowledgeable and always willing to help.nWould give it 5 stars but rooms getting a bit tired
Part of a coach party on arrival we had to supply contact details which was painstakingly slow until we were given the check-in cards and left to fill in details later. The room doesn't have any drawers, the shower was broken, the mirror light didn't work and shower basin grubby if attention had been paid to these details it would have made us feel special. After our first meal we had to fill a form with the next days options listing our allergies unfortunately the details got lost in the kitchen and again the details made for a great disappointment none seems to be aware of Natasha law which is enshrined in the British law books. There was little in the way of veg and the meals served was cold as it is under staffed.nnIf this is what they offer to valued guests they need to seriously review procedures before something goes disastrously wrong.nnWhen the managers were made aware they couldn't see the problems.nnThe hotel is next to a busy road so opening the window to allow natural ventilation isn't an option as this affects the soundproofing when offered another room it was rejected as it's tired state was worse than the one we were allocated.nnNo views but 15 mins walk from the city centrennHas car parking and a bar live evening entertainment on wednesday
One stay so we could attend the football at St James Park. Girl at the check in was helpful and we checked in quickly - room was clean with good TV and free WiFi. Shower was lovely and bed really comfortable. Bar area was clean - choice was limited but the beer was lovely and bar staff really friendly. Hotel is a short distance from Newcastle Town centre but has good access with a Metro Station only 2 minutes away. Fares are cheap and the service is frequent. Highly recommend this place for a visit
It's located on a busy road, yet noise is very quiet. It's located very close to Osborne road which is a great location for families and singles to socialise. Very close to city centre. It's clean, warm and very welcoming hotel. Foods great and staff are very friendly
