We had an enjoyable stay here! We visited for 4 nights and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly staff, who were informative and helpful. Patricia who works there was incredibly helpful and kind, we can only thank her and everyone else for the exceptional service.nnThe hotel is a couple of minutes walk away from a tram stop which is great for getting into the city centre, and the area around the hotel was quiet and perfect for a relaxing time away.nnThe rooms were clean, simple and had everything you needed. The heater was a bit temperamental, and the windows didn’t keep a lot of heat in, but overall a good few nights sleep.nnThe breakfast was again simple but we enjoyed it, loads of options. Dinner was lovely at the hotel, served promptly and well presented, along with the drinks.
I stayed here for a long weekend and it surpassed my expectations. Very well priced which sometimes is a red flag and reflects in a poor quality stay, but this was not the case. Everything is immaculate, rooms are quiet and quite large. Breakfast well stocked. I came down later than usual one day for breakfast and there wasn’t much left but Ivan was very kind and went out of his way to find me some juice which I really appreciated. Thanks Ivan and team in Leith, can’t wait to visit again!
Such a good little hotel. Perfect for what we needed. The rooms are simple but have what you need and you’re super close to a tram stop - making it easy to get into town whilst being in a more quiet spot.nnThe breakfast options cater to dietary needs with clear gluten free options and additional vegetarian options available too! Which is so handy for our particularly fussy group nnThe staff were so nice, from the moment we walked through the door, every interaction was friendly and helpful. It’s also very clear they enjoy working there, with lots of laughter and smiling - it createda very positive vibe in the hotel.nnWould definitely stay again.
Had a pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the essentials for a short stay. The location is convenient for exploring the city, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. However, parking was not free, which added to the cost, and the breakfast options, while decent, were somewhat limited compared to expectations. Overall, a good choice for a city break, but a few improvements could make it even better!
It is a mediocre hotel. Rooms are clean and tidy, but they seem old and somehow abandoned. The door of the bathroom had a hole, the AC was very old and wasn't working properly, while the room lacked some basic equipment like a fridge which is not present.nnThe staff is great and really helpful.nnBreakfast is very basic and limited, but still it is fine.nnThe location of the hotel is not the best. You need around 30 minutes by bus or tram to go to the city centre. It is positive that bus and tram stops are within 2-3 minutes walking.
