Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic value for money. I was blown away at just how good the Hogarth inn is.
Currently - October 2022 - the pub is serving drinks only - no food. I believe it us up for sale. Worth checking before banking on it being open!
This would be my dinking hole... Went in looking for food, however, they are not serving at the moment. Staff friendly, fire, pool table and dart board - I wish my local were this well equipped.
Really old traditional pub with beams and large wooden entrance door, could do with a tidy up looks worn out. Friendly landlady and people ok, bar staff not much to say really just regulars in there I think. Will let you take your dog in and very good prices for drinks but no food.
I popped in here for a coke on my Thames Path walk and to charge my phone. The proprietor was super nice, helpful and accommodating. The pub has a 500 year history as well which is cool. It's a real pub with locals relaxing over a pint, and I enjoyed the ambience.
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in the UK! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, our names were mentioned on the board and we were upgraded to the Paradise Suite. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible appreciate this! and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The second day we did a village trekking. I truly enjoyed walking the three of us through the village. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural bath on the end was a great way to end the trekking. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!
Friendly pub,a bit disappointed with the lack of ales on tap
Went here on a sunday night for a quiet drink because our local was shut, nice staff, lovely old sckool pub
Very much a locals pub, walked in with my missus, it went quiet. Fortunately it was a warm afternoon, so we took our drinks outside
Went for lunch today. Food good - home made pie was large and tasty but too much for my partner as he had just had the camembert for a starter so an apology was hopefully passed to the chef to assure him/her that there was nothing wrong with the cooking! My fish and chips were really good too but couldn't eat the batter not because it wasn't really tasty just that the diet won't allow it. Staff very polite and friendly and finally my standard for any establishment is the ladies loos. Spotlessly clean and therefore a good indicator of the high standards set by the owners.
