Stayed here over New Year for 2 nights in a king superior room in a high floor with my husband and our baby. The hotel were super helpful in the lead up ensuring we had a mini fridge for baby food, providing a cot and making sure the room was big enough for us. Considering it was New Year we didn't hear any of the street noise, or fireworks which was nice. We also did not hear any of our neighbours.nThe hotel room was very clean and tidy. The bathroom was fresh and stylish and the shower was hot and powerful. The bed and bedding was comfy, the cot was perfect for our baby. Breakfast was nice, we were greeted by, who i can only assume was the manager, each morning and who recognised us on our 2nd visit. We were provided enough space for the pram and a highchair despite our young baby not having breakfast.nWe used the swimming pool once which we had to pay £5 each for, the pool was nice but the changing rooms weren't as clean as I would expect.nExcellent location right opposote Cardiff Castle. No parking although there is a smalldrop off and pick up zone. We used Just Park to park a 3 min walk away for a reasonable price.nOverall, a lovely visit and I would definitely return.
We’re staying in January and the room is cold. There was a little hot water after the running the shower for a while, the restaurant is also cold.nnReception staff were very nice and my husband was guest of the day which meant we had two cans of free water and two welsh cakes. Many four or five star hotels offer free water in the rooms on arrival though. The juice at breakfast was diluted cordial, sugary, and not juice.nnWe were greeted by a guard on arrival who checked our names before allowing us in and the entrance steps had metal barricades around them. There were no porters to help with our luggage.nnThere are coffee bags rather than a coffee maker in the room. I’m hoping our stay improves.nnThe music at breakfast was too loud for my tastes and of low quality - tacky easy listening. This didn’t make up for the restaurant being unpleasantly cold.nnWe asked to move seats at breakfast to a warmer part of the restaurant and the waitress in charge couldn’t have cared less and wasn’t interested in why.nnThe hotel responded to my comments above and addressed concerns I raised. The guard was welcoming and friendly. We turned the heating up and the room became pleasantly warm. There were still issues with hot water and I guess heating concerns in public areas that are beyond the means of the hotel to resolve. It must be a building design issue.nnThe Premier Inn budget hotel chain have worse problems with heating and air conditioning. However, they offer a better quality breakfast and apologised that, owing to import restrictions, they didn’t have real juice.nnWe ate and had drinks at the Hilton hotel bar one evening and I used room service in the middle of the night. Both were favourable experiences. Room service was very good, prompt and efficient, which one would expect from a 5 star hotel. The food was very nice and the staff pleasant, one spoke fluent French and knew Luxembourg where we’re from.nnOverall our stay was fine and I’ve changed my star ratings accordingly
nOur visit to Graze Restaurant at the Hilton Cardiff was nothing short of exceptional and truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we were seated, we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, making it the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening.nA special mention must go to Chevy, our waiter, who was outstanding throughout the entire experience. His attention to detail, friendly manner, and professionalism were second to none. Nothing was too much trouble — he anticipated our needs, ensured everything was just right, and delivered service that felt both personal and polished, which really elevated our visit.nThe food was absolutely superb. My wife chose the sweet potato tart, which was beautifully presented, perfectly balanced in flavour, and cooked to perfection. I had the gourmet burger, which was easily one of the best I’ve had — juicy, full of flavour, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every element of the meal showed real care and skill from the kitchen.nOverall, Graze delivers exactly what you hope for from a top-tier restaurant: outstanding food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cardiff and will most definitely be returning in the near future. An all-round brilliant experience from start to finish.
A hotel in the heart of Cardiff. We had the pleasure of staying here for three nights and celebrating Christmas. Our room was on the 7th floor with an amazing view of Cardiff Castle. Free WiFi.nnThe reception staff worked professionally and were always friendly. All our additional requests were met.nnThe room was clean and everything was cozy. The king bed was comfortable with new linens. The staff was given water every day. Bathroom with shower and bathtub. A bathrobe and slippers were in the room. There was a kettle and coffee machine in the room. The hotel offers a 24-hour room service menu.nnThe hotel has a gym room. The spa is open from 8am. to 8pm. hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool, shower cabins.nn The hotel has a restaurant and a bar. We enjoyed our Christmas dinner. The dishes were prepared with love. nThe waiters were friendly and pleasant. Our waitress Darina was helpful.n The hotel has a children's room.nnThe hotel does not have its own parking, so you need to pay £25 daily for parking.nn The manager and his team made our holiday enjoyable and relaxing. Thanks
Second stay on three months and can't wait to return again! Fab hotel with clean modern facilities. Staff are friendly and so helpful booking taxis and suggestions of restaurants. Special welcome notes and touches in room have spoilt my daughter and made memories.
