Hotel itself is great. But breakfast buffet could use more variety. If you are only staying 2-3 days it's fine...but I wouldn't opt in for it at €20pp, unless you want the exact same items every day: fried or scrambled eggs, bacon and pork sausage, hash browns and tomatoes. No omelet station, no pancakes, etc. No oatmeal-just cold cereals. Toast & pastries, meat/cheese and fruit w/yogurt. Decent amount of items, but absolutely no variation from day to day.
It is my second time here and the perfect choice when traveling to Cardiff. Had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Cardiff! The location is simply excellent, right in the heart of the city with easy access to everything. As expected from the Hilton chain, the room was comfortable, clean, and up to high standards. A big highlight of the stay was the wellness area — both the pool and the gym are fantastic, well-maintained, and great for relaxing or keeping up with your workout routine. The service was friendly and professional throughout. Highly recommend!
We stayed at the Hilton Cardiff for our anniversary and it was absolutely exceptional from start to finish.nnBeautiful room with thoughtful touches of bubbles and cakes made it feel really special straight away. The VIP lounge was outstanding, and every member of staff, from reception to bar to dinner and breakfast, delivered genuinely excellent service.nnPerfect location too, just moments from Cardiff Castle.nnA truly memorable stay. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend
I had a very good experience staying at Hilton Cardiff. The hotel felt extremely safe and well managed throughout my stay. One thing I noticed is that they are very strict about not allowing visitors after 9 PM. At first, it was a bit disappointing, but honestly, it also made me feel much safer knowing they take security seriously.nnThe service was excellent from beginning to end. The staff were always kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed, which made the whole experience feel very welcoming.nnMy room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. It was also cleaned during my stay, which I really appreciated and added to the overall comfort.nnThe location is another big advantage the hotel is just steps away from Cardiff Castle, making it perfect for exploring the city. It’s also only about a 20 minute walk from Cardiff Central railway station, which made getting there and around very convenient.nnOne morning I decided to try the breakfast buffet, and it was definitely worth it. There were many options to choose from, including pastries, hot food, fruit, and drinks. They also had coffee machines with very good coffee, which made the breakfast experience even better.nnAnother highlight was the bar downstairs it had a great atmosphere and was a really nice place to relax after a day of exploring.nnOverall, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cardiff, especially if you value comfort, excellent service, a great location, and above all, feeling safe during your stay.
Stayed here for one night for work in May 2026nnPros: Room was generally clean with good facilities and a comfortable bed, staff were consistently polite and pleasant, location is excellent for exploring Cardiff, bar was also pleasantnnCons: While the room was clean it could probably benefit from a refresh, I noticed a cigarette burn hole in the curtain pictured and some presumably coffee stains on a wall for example.nnBreakfast had a good selection but the quality was a bit more mixed, overall the food was fine but not amazing.
