Lovely room at a great price.nWe booked relatively last minute 2 weeks in advance and got a good price for the area and time of year. The hotel has ample free parking and is a 15 minute walk to the bay.n24/7 desk service was great. We arrived late 11pm or so and had a seamless check-in. There was a free ice machine and guest laundry on our floor which was a huge bonus.nnThe room was much larger than I expected with two double beds- lots of extra space. There was a nice sized wardrobe, normal extras like hairdryer/toiletries, and TV. No fridge, but it wasn't necessary for our stay. There was a bathrobe on each bed, a little chocolate, and two bottles of water and wine glasses in the room. Nice little touches that made our stay just that bit extra. If in Cardiff again, will definitely look to stay here again.
There were a few things I didn't like:nn1. There was no fridge in the room. I paid £292 for a night for a room with two double beds. I asked the receptionist to provide me with a fridge but they didn't do anything. Given the facilities, it is too costly. I was expecting much more with this price.nn2. They did not provide sufficient water bottles in the room. When I asked for additional water bottles, they asked me to pay £2 a bottle 500 ml.nn3. The toilet near the reception is quite small and there are only two urinals in a congested way.nnA few things that I liked:nnIt is 10-15 minutes walking distance from Cardiff. Rooms, corridors, staircase etc. were clean. The breakfast was good.
Booked same day, was choosing as has EV charging. Hotel is very well maintained in all areas. Room was very nice size with a sofa. Bathroom, very clean and well presented. Breakfast had nice selection and staff where quick to clear and clean. Very good location for the bay.
Fantastic hotel, very comfortable rooms with 2 double beds, air con, biscuits tea coffee and water. The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff were attentive and courteous. Fresh flowers on the tables in the dining room, great breakfast. Fresh plants watered every day, staff work as a team and seem to take a real pride in their place of work. Great situation, short walk from Cardiff Bay and short taxi ride, train or bus into the city. Will be back!
This is a lovely hotel, it's well tuned organised and all staff are pleasant and helpful. The room we had was large and spacious with 2 large double beds 1 each. The location is very good for the quayside and to get into Cardiff centre, we actually walked into Cardiff from the hotel and we are in our early 70s. You can get a bus from the quayside No 6 to Cardiff and return from Canal street Cardiff to the quayside. Don't go to the main bus station as the No6 does not depart from it. Thomas 's restaurant is located in the hotel with lovely Breakfast and I recommend the Sunday roast. I would recommend this hotel for short or longer stays, we stayed 6 nights with no complaints, would give it 4.5 ****.5
