There's a lot to like about this hotel. The rooms are clean, quiet, well equipped and air conditioned. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is superb, close to Castle Street and all it's bars and restaurants. Heywood House does not have restaurant facilities itself, but with so much choice on the doorstep, it's not an issue. Only negative is the lifts, very slow and clunky. Loved our stay and will be back.
There is a club playing loud music directly below our room, and we can feel the bed shake since 5pm on a Saturday till late at night. The hotel should have warned us, but instead nothing was mentioned. This shouldn’t be a four star hotel. Avoid at all cost! Nearby activities: Loud music playing from club below
I had a good time during my stay at Heywood House Hotel. I particularly enjoyed the proximity to everything around Liverpool including the Museum, Albert Dock, the Cathedral and many more. The downside for me was the noise outside which made it hard to sleep at night. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience. Rooms: Room was well presented. It was tidy Nearby activities: Lots of activities around town which made it a bit difficult to sleep at night. Safety: No safety issues Walkability: Very close to everything in town Food & drinks: No food was served as I had to eat outside
A nice Hotel, very clean and tidy, all the the facilities you require. Jack and the team were were extremely helpful & nothing was to much trouble for them. The location is very central & walking distance to the town and the docks. We would definitely return to this hotel and could highly recommend mend it. Rooms: Rooms were very adequate for our requirements, tea coffee, nice bed and lovely bath and shower. Nearby activities: Close to the docks, restaurants and shopping centre. Walkability: All facilities, shopping restaurant's and bars.
Stayed 4 nights and had no problems. Unfortunately no early check in but they kept my bag and there's loads nearby. Amazing location for the docks, a bit of a walk to the Lime St train but it's not bad. Friendly staff and room had a tub. Downsides are the elevator & noise. It's not useable once housekeeping starts their day, so keep that in mind. Also it's slow even when it works. And our room faced the street, which there is a bar or two next to the hotel so on Fri/Sat there was lots of people out drunk. Not bothersome to us tho.
If you’re on a budget that’s the place to go in Liverpool. Lovely and helpful staff, great location, good price. Unfortunately room was a bit dated and window wasn’t closing. Small bathroom. But everything was clean and well maintained.Rooms: 3/5
Recently had a one night stay at the Heywood House Hotel and it wasn't bad to be fair. We purchased a voucher from a certain online voucher buying site, so we managed to get this stay at a very reasonable price. The voucher entitled us to a free bottle of wine for the room and breakfast the following morning. The hotel is well located, it is not far from the river at all and is in easy walking distance to the busy area of Liverpool where there are plenty of good shops, restaurants and bars to visit. As this hotel is attached to The Alchemist cocktail bar, it can be quite loud if you're in a room located at that side of the hotel. We were, but the noise stopped not long after midnight, so not too bad. The room we stayed in was nice enough. It included a comfy double bed, storage for hanging your clothes, usual desk and chair, decent sized TV, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was placed on an angled wall due to how the building has been sectioned off and it was this angled wall, that makes you stand or sit at a strange angle when trying to use the toilet in the bathroom on the other side of the wall. I'm not exactly small myself, but if I was any bigger, it would be a struggle to use the toilet in any dignified way put it that way. Don't get me wrong though, the room was comfortable enough and there's no major complaint really. Please be advised though, there is no way to lock your door from the inside, well there wasn't in our room anyway. The staff we dealt with whilst there were all super nice and helpful when we had any questions. The breakfast on offer here is a "grab and go" continental style offering. There is nowhere to sit and have it, it is literally handed to you in a paper bag. There are places nearby though if you desire a cooked breakfast, The Alchemist next door being one. Overall, a nice, hidden comfy hotel with very nice staff which is very well located and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if the opportunity ever arises.
Stayed here for 4 nights, the staff are very friendly and good at recommending activities/places to eat. The first night we had a complaint about the noise our room was directly above the Alchemist and they offered to put us in another room and give us a discount on our next visit. We will be coming back here!
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. The balcony room was a waste of time for us due to the weather. Noisy second night due to drunken idiot's out in yhe streets ut its a city centre location and what you'd expect would book again.Rooms: 5/5
Visited for one night and couldn't fault a single thing! Staff obviously the highlight of this hotel! They go above and beyond when it comes to communication and attention to detail. Room was super clean and modern. Location for me was perfect. Many thanks
