Nice hotel near sightseeing and shopping. The hotel itself is raised above the road so you need to access the main entrance from the ramp along the side of the hotel. The car park is small enough for 8 vehicles and is located around back. We arrived at 1:30pm for check-in and had no trouble with finding a parking spot on a busy Saturday. The hotel rooms are nice and large. The bathroom was also large. Both were also very clean and the beds were comfortable. The area around the hotel is very walkable and safe. We walked to the Botanic Gardens, up through the university, and back through the riverfront parks. We also walked to and from dinner at the nearby Zizzi. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They pointed out a couple things to do and see nearby. I only wish we had more time to stay and visit but we only had one night in Glasgow. Great spot in a good location!
Great location, easy to get to. Hotel and room were clean and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly. Room was spacious had a nice view on to the street, and pretty quiet considering the location, slept well! Good breakfast in the morning. Only let down was the water temperature in the morning but it wouldn't put us off staying again. Superb value for money!!
Very nice place. Good bed and a clean room plus really nice staff. Right in the westend so a great location. Also it's only £7 by taxi from the city center. No problems storing luggage for a few hours after checkout either. Breakfast is solid if you like the fully fry. Continental breakfast maybe a little lacking by comparison. In all, definitely highly recommended.
Friendly staff and nice rooms. The shower is quite small and it's not helped by the large shower system that takes up room unnecessarily. The doors in rooms are frustrating to close but staff were helpful when we had an issue. The breakfast was not bad and the server was friendly but the turkey rashers and sausage could be a lot better.
There were some good things and some not so good things about our overnight stay at the Heritage. The good: the room was plenty spacious and clean with a working television so we could watch the World Cup and Wimbledon. The location in the west end is really nice and convenient with easy walking to the subway to get you to the city centre and other parts of town. The not so good: the room was quite warm/stuffy could he unavoidable but worth mentioning, the breakfast was fairly unappealing I was sad there was no porridge, and worst of all, the showers were freezing cold in the morning with not a drop of hot water to be had. I'd stay here again because of the good location, but only if other options were booked up.
Parking was atrocious to begin with, and no communication about how poor it would be. The rooms are tiny, with the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on you can feel every spring, a tiny bathroom, tiny tv and no fan or air conditioning. The glass is not at all sound proof so you can hear every noise outside. The room smells of cheap air freshener, which is comparatively nice to the general smell of old frying oil which the rest of the hotel is fragranced with. All staff were nice and polite. The entire hotel urgently needs to be made over, the beds alone are horrific and days later I’m still in pain from it. I would not recommend anyone stay here, not even for free.
The hotel is situated near the subway station which gives easy access to the city center. The staff was friendly but spoke little English. The room was nice and tidy, but it was on the 2nd floor and the stairs are quite narrow and it is a bit difficult to drag the luggage up and down. Breakfast was simple but good. Overall good price for value.
Lovely hotel in a location beautifully and conveniently situated in the West end. Less than 5 minutes to Byres Road in one direction, and a similar time to the subway station in the other. For the price I didn't expect greatness but this hotel was lower than average. The beds were very uncomfortable, you can feel the springs in the mattress. I'm 6'2 and they gave us the room on the top with half the roof slanting which made it so I couldn't stand up in the room. The room was also kept very warm, it was 50 degrees F outside yet we had to sleep without sheets as it got very hot even with the window open. Cleanliness was average, painted patches on the wall. They gave us the room on the top which was very annoying to get to since it was 4 flights of stairs, and after coming to the hotel after a long day out, walking those stairs was the last thing we wanted to do. The room they gave us was also very small with a tiny window. I've stayed in many boutique hotels for the same price but this just wasn't a pleasant stay.
Service was great, both on arrival and leaving the staff were great! Breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfy and spacious. The shower was our favourite part of the stay!! Thank You to the staff again for being fab!
