After 2 weeks of B&B/Hotels/Guesthouses in Ireland and another week in Scotland, I can say with absolute certainty that the Belgrave Hotel Glasgow is in no way up to even my lowest standards. - Staircase is so dilapidated that you are afraid of falling off - Backyard parking lot dirty with garbage bags lying around - Sanitary facilities moldy, installed carelessly/talentlessly - Beds rooms? crooked so that you can find yourself on the floor at night - Power sockets don't inspire confidence as some smell like burnt plastic - Stains/holes of unknown origin on the walls/carpets Well, I didn't want to enjoy breakfast. Maybe that would have been OK. I can't be sure here. Therefore, I am value-neutral in this regard. I maintained very positive contact with the staff via email. However, the reception wasn't staffed by the friendliest Scots. But maybe after two weeks in Ireland B&B it's also a matter of feeling. All in all: no recommendation from me. It's better to drive a few miles into the country, get a cheap B&B and commute by public/rental car every day.
