Glad to found this hotel in Glasgow for my family. Historical building hotel. It’s convenient and with reasonable price. Great and full breakfast! The greatest is the service- the staffs are very nice and helpful. Luckily, we arrived in the Saturday evening, from Sat 6pm to Monday 6am - Free car parking on the road. It’s more convenient! Rooms: Clean and tidy. With online TV, great for my kids. Walkability: Belhaven Hotel is located opposite Road of Glasgow Botanic Gardens. Food & drinks: Closed to Bar & Restaurant district mainly at the Byres Rd.
It was okay, but the pillows need serious improving. Room 2 needs a good hoovering and dusting. WiFi in the room was very weak. Staff were great.Rooms: 2/5
Nice area west end of Glasgow. Used subway to get to city centre. Hotel very quiet, staff very helpful. Had to find alternative parking. No disabled access Rooms: Rooms adequate and clean. All rooms either upstairs or downstairs
The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Glasgow’s West End and it’s walking distance away from the Botanic Gardens and Glasgow university. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly throughout my short stay. Warm breakfast was tasty with complementary continental buffet! All in all, great experience.
I stayed here as a treat to myself as it seemed fancy and had a spa bath. Realistically this is more of A bed and breakfast feel than a hotel feel but I made good use of the spa bath which was much needed and amazing. The bed was super comfy. And the furniture and lighting made for some nice photos. Some light redecorating could freshen things up greatly. The lack of a lift was rough but I managed. Staff were helpful but the information sheet was pretty faded and basic. It's a period building and so my room felt massive but that also comes with some noise through the windows and from other rooms spa baths. Overall I feel I got my moneys work for a more luxurious bed and breakfast. Rooms: Comfy, warm, huge. Spa bath with shower over it was as luxurious as I wanted it to be. Walkability: I walked from Queen Street station via Kelvingrove. It's doable but not easy, particularly with a case, even on wheels. Lots of hills so best to splurge on a taxi for about £10-£12.
Stayed for a weekend, arrived and wanted to shower but the water ran brown…water for the toilet, sink and shower all seemed to come from the same place, a very noisy system that is heard when other rooms use their own. Poor breakfast, uncooked sausages and a poor selection. Rooms: The rooms look amazing online, in reality the hotel needs a refurb. I was stuck in the attic. Window didn’t have adequate locks and wind would come in through cracks…disappointing overall especially for the price.
Stayed here for a week and couldn’t have been happier! Great location near the university we were there to visit it and Ashton Lane we spent a lot of time there!!. Everything is in walking distance and the room was HUGE! I was expecting a traditionally smaller room and beds, but this room was enormous and the beds large and comfortable. You need to be a little self sufficient because they give you a code to the front door, and each room has a lockbox with the room’s key in it. They have staff, but not hovering at the front all the time like you might expect in chain hotels. They staff are very responsive to WhatsApp as a messaging service. There’s lots of breakfast options in the morning. I had the traditional Scottish breakfast and loved it. We only had breakfast on site once. We were out and about from early to late. I will absolutely come back here when I’m in Glasgow!!
Good points Room was a good size comfortable bed. Great location. Parking Bad points Internet terrible i had a towel with a brown mark could of been a footprint...I did email and was sent clean towels Creepy guy at Reception on my final morning all other people on reception were friendly he didn't speak to me just looked and cracked his knuckles. Made me feel uncomfortable.
Cheap and chearful. Did exactly what we wanted after a night out in Glasgow. Bed a tad narrow.Rooms: 4/5
Helpful reception staff. Lovely reception area, big Edwardian building with lovely original features. Large room with large window overlooking gardens. Tired furniture. Very small shower with wobbly riser rail, and curtain. Good location.Rooms: 3/5
