Just had a meal with the family. Great food and great friendly staff. Will highly recommend. Cosy and calming atmosphere.

An appalling relic of a place. The Reg Varney of the British restaurant firmament. I ordered a rib eye steak medium rare, got a rump, medium to well done and tough as the proverbial boot, but was still charged for the rib eye, probably intentional maybe thinking I would not notice the difference. The prices on everything over the local average by some way. Dirty table cloth, so dirty we actually turned it over but the other side was just as bad, though the dirt on that side not quite as vivid. Staff looked a mess, food arrived carried someone dressed in old garment so worn and full of holes at the hip from years of wiping their hands on it, maybe you might wear something like that to decorate a room but certainly not serve food. No chefs whites, not even an ironic teatowel strewn over a shoulder to assume any iota of belonging in a kitchen, dodgy looking dessert selection in the fridge, that is probably still there after three days. This place had a 5 star hygiene rating on the window. How? I have no idea, and considering a lot of places in the town also have 5 stars I would question the council responsible for awarding them.

Amazing breakfast butties. Really welcoming and friendly staff. You can sit outside, people watch and take in the scenic view of the harbour. Good price too. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

The only good thing I have to report is that The Clipper is in a wonderful location in the heart of Padstow harbour. The food was not very good and everything was over priced. The cold drinks were served in small glasses and the coffee didn't taste right. If location is important to you and don't mind getting ripped off then you'll love this place.

Friendly staff, good kids menu. Typical seaside town restaurant - lots of good fish options.
