Very welcoming. Staff friendly and helpful. Food good and nicely presented. Also good value compared with some of the other restaurants in Padstow. Will definately go back.

Chose this restaurant as we could see a few free tables in the window overlooking Padstow. If all you want is the view over Padstow then this place is for you. Otherwise, pretty disappointing. We had to spend £8 on a glass of wine for it to be any good. The prawn starter tasted good, though was accompanied by two stale bread batons. The main course we chose was the dressed crab and smoked salmon salad, which listed as a main course and at £16, one presumed it to be somewhat substantial, however it was tiny, smaller in fact than the prawn starter, and pretty tasteless. What a shame!

Snotty service that started with "where are you going?" when a polite "are you looking for a table?" would have been more appropriate. Then to be asked "have you reserved a table?" And when we replied "no" we got "oh no then you can't sit here as it's reserved" There were no signs to wait to be seated, no one at the top of the stairs waiting to greet anyone, no reserved signs on the tables but the waiter obviously decided we ought not to eat there. Won't be going there again and would seriously recommend to the owner to retrain his staff. We ended up in the cafe below, simple but possibly the best fish and chips I've ever had. We then called to try to reserve a table to check if that was true only to be told you don't need to book as there are plenty of tables. Not even a little impressed.

Absolutely love Pucellis. Always manage to get a table and I always take my family there when they come to visit. Food is wonderful and reasonably priced, staff are friendly and helpful.
