I stayed at Hampton by Hilton Waterloo for one night with my family. The location was convenient, the staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, and the bartender was equally friendly. For service, I’d happily give them 5 stars. However, I was disappointed with the room. Despite booking a family room, it was very small, with only two coffee sachets and two tea bags provided, and no proper spoon. The bed was uncomfortable, making odd noises, and the A/C didn’t seem to work properly, making the room uncomfortably hot. Overall, for just under £300, I expected a better experience and feel I could have found a better deal elsewhere. To top it off, they requested a £30 deposit even though I had already paid in full. Unfortunately, I left feeling underwhelmed.
We spent two nights here and found it quite satisfying, though the breakfast could use more variety for longer stays, as it primarily features English breakfasts daily. However, the cheese, ham, and desserts were delightful. The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained. While I wasn’t fond of picking up toothbrushes at the reception and missed having slippers in the room, we genuinely appreciated our time here. Overall, this hotel is a wonderful choice for a short, refreshing stay.
We were a couple that stayed in the Queen Room. It was large, cozy, and very clean, providing plenty of space to relax. The service and breakfast were both excellent, and the hotel's quiet and cozy atmosphere made for a relaxing stay. The location is great, very close to tubes and other transportations and a short walk to everything you need. However, the bed was a little uncomfortable, the sink design was odd with a deep basin and short tap, and the toilet door wouldn’t close properly, plus the air conditioning was a bit noisy. Overall, it’s a great value for the price, but the hotel could use some renovations to address these minor issues.
Good location. Quick walk to Waterloo Underground station. Good breakfast. There were both hot and cold offerings. The pastry table had fantastic choices. Overall, the staff was terrible. The front desk never greeted guests or offered help. I saw other guests having to flag down staff because they were busy talking to one-another or on their phones. I had to find a person from housekeeping on the third day to get towels because our room had not been made up and we had been sharing a single towel. Calling the front desk didn't help. Rooms are very small with little storage space. Due to a mechanical issue, we had to switch rooms. The first room had exposed screws, missing fixtures, and mold in the bathroom. The second room had broken fixtures, water pressure problems, and stains on the walls. Rooms: New rooms are small and over-designed. No storage space for suitcases. Water pressure and temperature was inconsistent. Walkability: Short walk to Waterloo Station and good restaurants.
Overall, a pretty nice place. The rooms and hotel itself is well maintained. The breakfast here is very nice with plenty of food to eat and a variety of options. There is usually seating available too. In addition, the hotel is in a convenient location for visiting landmarks around London with a good walking distance to the tube.Rooms: 5/5
The location was particularly convenient for us to access Waterloo station and the national rail to Southampton. The hotel rooms are great; breakfast buffet well-stocked with hot and cold foods and good quality; and gym with water cooler. The only part that needs improvement is the service from the front desk staff - every single one of them was heads down, staring at the computer, and not particularly friendly or proactive in dealing with guests.
Excellent hotel with outstanding service from the entire team! I stayed at the hotel for three nights last week across two separate bookings. They accommodated an early check-in with no request needed and were very flexible with a late check-out. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Most importantly, the location is fantastic—close to many tourist attractions in central London and conveniently near bus stations and the underground.
Stayed there for 4 nights and would highly recommend to others and stay there myself again. Rooms are impeccably clean. Service is good. Hotel has a lot of amenities - gym, bar, small store for items. Location is awesome! Short walk to lots of attractions without the tourist crowds. Rooms: Very clean Nearby activities: Steps to London Eye and Aquarium. Short walk to Big Ben, Parliament, Westminster Abbey with the benefit of a quiet, peaceful location that isn't overcrowded by tourists. Safety: Felt safe walking at night. Walkability: Extremely walkable - bus stop, tube station just a few steps from hotel as well. Food & drinks: Hotel breakfast is good. Lots of options around as well.
It was a bit of a walk to the Thames and associated attractions, but it was totally worth it. The included breakfast was a great way to start the day. The staff was welcoming. The room I booked was clean and the bed was very comfortable.Rooms: 5/5
Great location easy walk from Waterloo train station. The breakfast setup was the best part of my stay, they really go above and beyond. Food & drinks: Food service was excellent!!! Breakfast setup is amazing I’ve never stayed at a Hilton with that many breakfast options.
