Great hotel in a fabulous location. Fairly priced for where it is. Rooms clean, good facilities and decorated to a high standard. Could walk easily to Buckingham palace, theatres, almost everywhere we needed to go. Supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants on the doorstep. Would definitely stay again and the kitchenette was a good facility- especially for longer stays, service on front desk efficient and friendly.
Fairly spacious rooms, very well equipped rooms has kitchen, which is convenient given a Sainsbury nearby. Waiting areas at the lobby are installed with plenty of sockets, which is a great touch for guests having a long wait till check in. The only thing I wish could be improved was the breakfast. Menu was quite limited and mostly cold food, definitely not worth the extra 20 pounds add-on to the daily room rate.
The room we stayed in was nice, however during our two night stay we had no hot water. We received a partial refund, but then got charged more than the refunded price on the card used to secure the booking the day after. Shocking customer service, hotel not contactable over their email. Would not recommend.Rooms: 1/5
No hot water for 3 nights out of the 8 nights we stayed. Management did a poor job providing updates. Phone in the room was broken and the mattress was pretty hard. The best part of the hotel is that it is right next to the tube so getting to places is very convenient.Rooms: 3/5
Very nice and clean hotel. Walking distance to all major attractions. Quiet at night. Kitchenette was well equipped - so we saved some $ on breakfasts ;
The hotel given choices of bed size for the room we booked, and their king bed size wasn’t kings size which is only double or queen size but insisted that is king size by UK standard even I am also UK resident and I do know the difference of bed sizes. No intention of the manager to apologize either after I made the complaint. The room didn’t get it cleaned after I requested to get it cleaned twice at the reception and even leave the sign on the door, again, hotel management couldn’t give any solution rather we had to come back to unclean/ tidy room. After all those issues the hotel staff rushed and kicked out the room with no super rude attitude as we never experienced ever before just because we didn’t get out of the room few minute late less than half an hour late
Great location, fair sized clean rooms and helpful staff. This is a great combo making this a good place to stay. Oh and if you are driving in, the staff was kind enough to point me to the nearest public car park which was also the cheapest - Britannia parking.
Price is good, the hotel is clean and modern, as well as the rooms. But The breakfast which you must pay additional to the room, are just toasts and cheese. Everyday, no vegetables, no eggs or warm meals. Just bread. And sometimes they even ran out of cheese so “continental breakfast” I had was a toast with butter. We also had the problem with our room payment and was stuck in the lobby for 3 hours. And the worse thing- one day the hotel did not have warm water and nobody could even take a shower. Whole hotel.
I stayed here on Feb 2020 just before the worldwide lockdown. The location is perfect, walking distance to London Eye area. The room is large with lovely kitchen and dishwasher and they use L'occitane products in the bathroom Thank you for the service, Marlin Hotel!
Location leaves a bit to be desired but the hotel is incredibly nice and I’ve stayed here twice and had a good experience both times. It’s a close walk to the underground and fairly easy to get anywhere in central London.
