Had a lovely present show lunch here. It was lovely to go to a traditional pub with great atmosphere. So many positives. Lovely member of staff welcomed us to our table and looked after us throughout our lunch. The menu was excellent and catered for our veggie guests as well as others. Quality of food was amazing. Just such a good experience. On exit our waitress smiled and said thank you, which I recipicated. The restaurant is up stairs away from the bar. But we had a look in to the bar and it also looked lovely. Highly recommend
Thr food is AMAZING, as are the drinks. Spent an entire wet afternoon here. Warm and welcoming place. Enjoyed out time here so much we didn't leave until we had to. Thank you. Come and try this place for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
A beautiful pub in a great location. Plenty of seats outside, perfect for people-watching, and splendid inside. Friendly bar staff, cask ales plus good keg selection, nice wines too. A lovely pub!Service: 5/5
Nestled in the heart of Aldwych, The Wellington is a true hidden gem that offers a delightful dining experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is modern and sleek, especially the outside sitting area, creating a perfect ambiance for a relaxing meal. The menu boasts a diverse selection of British starters, showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients. I opted for the nachos, and it was simply exquisite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. My dining companion ordered the chicken wings and cheesy fries, and they were equally impressed.
We had lunch at The Wellington. Not only was the food very tasty but it didn’t take long to arrive after ordering. The staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful and attentive. It was a pleasure to eat there. The prices were reasonable. Would highly recommend a meal there.Food: 5/5
Fabulous restaurant, highly recommend. Wanted some “pub grub” and I was happy to see the Sunday roast on the menu, including a vegetarian option. Being upstairs, the restaurant isn’t very accessible for pushchairs or anyone unable to walk/ climb. For those who can get there, the decor is traditional English style and with many seats. Menu was good including “puddings”. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were reasonable. My stuffing balls were overcooked and dry, maybe microwaved too much. Gravy was not generous enough. Rest of the meal was fantastic. Nut roast was delicious. We finished the meal off with sticky toffee pudding and a crumble. Amazing Vegetarian options: Good choice Dietary restrictions: Yes Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult
As an older Aussie couple I had preconceived ideas of an English pub and this didn't disappoint. Had to have the bangers and mash. Delicious. I can't remember what my wife had but she was impressed.Food: 5/5
A great place to eat and drink on the edge of Covent Garden. The restaurant upstairs is very atmospheric and has great character. The food was good with a great selection of beer and friendly staff.Food: 5/5
The environment was extremely cozy, with one of the most authentic atmosphere's of an old British pub, the staff were exceptional the food was just stunning The duke himself would be proud Well done guys
Came here for a team lunch. The food was great, with so many options, it was hard to choose, I went for the fish pie and it didn't disappoint. I'd definetly go back. Service was good too, very professional and attentive.Food: 5/5
