Europcar London Putney Bridge

Went to get car we'd booked online, turns out we needed proof of address. No hint of anything like this online. Had to turn all the way around and go to the bank (which luckily was fairly close by) before we could do anything. Coupled with the long wait time, it was over an hour before we even got to see the car.

I've rented 4 times in the past month from this branch and had issues each time. Staff are unaware of their own policies and will go out of their way to make things as difficult as possibly for the customer. Not the level of service I'm used to from Europcar

Left a jacket in the car when I dropped it off after locking the car and handing the keys back to the reception. Called first thing the next day and it has mysteriously now vanished. Not even a call or email from the manager to explain anything after I tried to reach her half a dozen times. After speaking with the manager she refuses to even look at the CCTV which she confirmed they have. 100% has been stolen by one of the employees. Have contacted the police.

I use Ubeeqo to hire cars out of this Europcar branch as it's much cheaper than what I ever find them advertise and the service has always been good at the branch, the staff here are friendly and chilled. The trick is not to trust the sat nav when returning and head to the right side of the bridge/barriers there!

Absolutely Dreadful. I made a booking online which I was told would be confirmed within 48 hours. 48 hours later I get an email telling me that my booking is about to commence and what to bring with me etc. I arrived at the branch with my confirmation email to be told that my booking had actually been cancelled 30 minutes after it was made. I asked why I hadn't been informed of this to be met with a blank look and a 'nothing I can do'. I understand that things go wrong with computer systems and things get missed. These things happen. What annoyed me infinitely more was that when I asked the particularly unhelpful staff member to phone any other branches nearby to check if they had any vans available, I was met with a refusal and 'it's not my problem'. I repeatedly asked for help to try and fix this problem and was repeatedly told 'nothing I can do'. Instead I was given a scribbled number for 'customer relations' which a.) wasn't for customer relations and b.) was closed. So I was left, on the day I was moving house, with no van, no assistance to rectify their mistake, and no apology. Honestly, I would rather carry my sofa and wardrobe on my back to the summit of Mount Everest than risk allowing the clown I dealt with the chance to get it completely wrong again. If that guy had given me even an ounce of assistance then I wouldn't be writing this, my first ever bad review. Useless. Actually - worse than useless.
