Always clean and lovely flowers all year round. The district line passes through this station. They have stairs and no lift yet. Staff are friendly. There is a flower shop, a south African shop and a coffee kiosk right outside the station. I also noticed a big hotel in the flower bed which is great for bees etc.
Relatively small station compared to other stations. Serviced by London Underground Trains and Network rail reversible track. Train service here is really smooth and fast.
No disabled access to platforms, scandalous considering how many people use this station and how busy and residential Putney is! Why can London Transport prioritise a rural station like Ickenham for lifts , over Putney???
Nice little station not far away from Putney high street. Fairly quiet especially at weekends. The stairs and the northbound platforms are quite dirty though with bird poop as there are birds living in the net above the platform
Every weekends, same story; so called “signals issues”/ “issues declared at XYZ station” pure BS that are never fixed. For TfL, weekends starts apparently on Friday and finishes on Monday: 0 reliability. Maybe it’s just tfl determined to not work on weekends and without the decency to actually say it out loud?nIt’s not like the London tube is the cheapest of Europe… and quite frankly, probably time to either change district line staff or officially declare the this district line works a few hours per week only.nA shame.
