Shepherd's Bush Station was a hive of activity when we arrived! It’s the perfect stop for anyone heading to Westfield shopping centre, with easy access to all the shops and attractions nearby.
This station is always busy with lots of passengers going to Westfield shopping centre. There is no disabled access only stairs and escalators. The Central line stops here and across the road is the overground station.
Employee of the station was not able to tell me how much will I be charged if I tap in/out in the same station, as there were no trains because of a casualty on track.nGoogled it and found out, maxmimum fare!nOn top of this, no message at the gates to inform about the incident. Surreal to see the number of people gathered on the platform in 30 minutes.
Got given grief by the lady with a buzz cut who was staffing the gates for not travelling in uniform while on military duty even though it was because of security concerns. Every other station I've been travelling on during remembrance Sunday weekend have been very supportive except this one - very poor and needs to be more adaptive and understanding of real time circumstances
Very busy as it is a station serving not only a busy residential area and shopping area, but also Westfield London, you may have heard of it... Enough sarcasm, lol, the station was rebuilt above ground and was expected to get a Lift installed but for some reason it didn't which is baffling to everyone as it really could have had one.nnIt is however a very convenient station.
