The cemetery grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Lisa, who was there on behalf of the East London Crematorium and Cemetery to help us run our attended committal at the crematorium chapel this morning, was very discreet during our ceremony, but intervened in a sensitive manner whenever we needed help. We were grateful that she was there with us.
Have never been to these grounds so given neutral stars but need some advice ... I believe my grandparents where buried here in 1950 and 1955 and would like to find them but one slight problem I have been told they have no head stone my dad was very young when they both past away .... how would I go about finding the plots there in , do they have records of plots back then at the church we can look up ??
This is one of the most beautiful and calming places I have ever been to in my life. The grounds are impeccably well kept. Every member of staff are friendly and kind. A truely peaceful place to be.
An exceptional place of rest. I am so thankful to the staff who provided such quick, accurate and helpful information for us. Not only did they answer all of our queries, Peter himself actually walked myself and my partner to find the grave we were looking for. Peter is a credit to the place. Thank you all for being so kind and helpful.
Caretakers do their best to maintain and look after the cemetery, very peaceful & quiet place to walk. You do see the odd dog walker but most times they are quite respectful and keep their distance from other dog owners & keep their dogs on paths only and off the graves
