Overall a nice stay and I’d consider staying here again in the future. Reasonable price, nice staff, clean, convenient.nnWe chose this hotel as it was basically the only one in this area and we wanted to stay close to where our friend who we were visiting lives. Very convenient to the overground and many nice shops and restaurants.nnWe didn’t need the “apartment” aspect and didn’t use our kitchen at all so that was kind of a waste of space. Ended up storing clothing on the kitchen counter as there was minimal storage. But if you are traveling more on a budget and don’t want to eat out, or doing a long term stay maybe you’d appreciate the kitchen more.nnThat said, room was clean and surprisingly quiet / isolated from the noise of the street and we didn’t spend much time in it anyway so it was definitely more than sufficient for our purposes.nnOnly gripes:n- having to schedule ahead for the gym is a bit annoying, I’d prefer to just be able to go impromptu as time allows.n- poorly designed shower. Couldn’t use at more than half the available water pressure or with the shower head angled, or it leaked out all over the bathroom floor. Water pools on shower floor and in the track the bathroom window slides in. Ended up having to have a dedicated towel for leaked water we tossed in the dryer between showers. Not a huge deal / my shower at home leaks some too like this so I’m used to it, but would be nice for them to improve this.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our anniversary trip to London! It is so cute and homey! The soundproofing is incredible, as you don’t hear any noise from the street outside. The staff was friendly and helpful! Our first trip to London was incredible, and we are already looking forward to our next trip! We will definitely stay at this hotel again!
Super uplifting vibe and great, kind staff. I booked the City Studio and it was small but perfect for what I needed — being able to cook, do my laundry, and step out to explore for most of the day. Located near fabulous coffee shops and restaurants in Dalston. I was stunned at how quiet and peaceful the room was! Everything was super smooth from check-in to connecting to wifi. The lobby bar/brewery is a pleasant place to meet guests visiting you. Fabulous no-frills property I’d stay at again.
A superlative hotel experience.nnFrom the friendly greeting at check-in from Ashleigh until the moment we checked out we had a faultless stay here.nnThe room was light and full of clever design, providing lots of amenities to make the stay comfortable and convenient. Definitely recommended.
The Check in was a bit turbulent, the location of the hotel is also a bit dangerous for women in the evening which we found out before through research.nThe hotel has a nice style and you have a great view from the rooftop bar.nOur room unfortunately had the window in front of a stone wall and we therefore had no view outside, and unfortunately you could not open the window.nThe bathroom is unfortunately a bit calcified should be cleaned regularly with a black sink.nHowever, the staff were very nice, when our flight was cancelled they helped us and tried everything to organise a room for us and the Soundproofing was also very good, and you heard nothing from the outside.nThe Locke is perfect for a longer stay and we would love to come back!
