Absolutely shocking service as always, waited for a pre booked taxi for 25 minutes in minus 4 snow and the woman in the office has zero people skills, just lies about where your taxi is! Some serious training or a new job needed asap!
Absolutely terrible taxi company DO NOT USE!!! We booked a taxi for 6 of us to take us to a wedding 4 weeks in advance, they called us 10 minutes after it was due to pick us up to say we didn't have a taxi and there's nothing they could do! Absolutely shambolic service, they are clearly incapable of providing a reliable service to their local community, WHAT A LET DOWN!!!
Will not use Critchleys taxi again. Prebooked a taxi for later in the evening and recieved a message to say it was booked and given a job number. However, when checking the app to see if the taxi was on the way it said cancelled so I rang the office to be told that they shouldn't have taken my booking in the first place. Absolutely disgusted. Thank god for A2B taxis who came to our rescue.
Before I get into details, I wonder if this company is even legally trading? According to HMRC company’s house, they don’t even exist. No trading/filing history for their name/address provided! Anyway: WORST TAXI COMPANY IMAGINABLE. Stranded at the airport, again. My poor mother has booked a taxi from the airport every year with critchleys set in her ways, I purposefully avoid! every year she is let down by shoddy office communication and poor customer service. We are currently stuck in Manchester airport at 1am with a child and no mini bus to be seen! I’ve had a dial tone at the main office for 10 minutes and they can’t even answer the phone. Probably gossiping with phones off the hook, or having a nap. It really wouldn’t surprise me. Avoid this company at all costs, unless you want to be highly disappointed. Oh, and we also had trouble on the way to the airport, when they sent us a car, instead of a mini bus! Suitcases on our knees crammed in like sardines! They promised my mum she was in the hands of their best driver, he laughed and said that’s news to him, he only started working for them two days previous. Chritchleys and your throne of lies, you should be ASHAMED.
I have booked taxis many times and always arrived on time without any issues . Also if you need to cancel they accept even short notice . Highly recommended!
Quick service taxi arrived in 5 minutes. Lovely lady on the phone and taxi driver was upbeat and pleasant. Good price and great service
Awful. Taxis don’t turn up, say there on there way or won’t be long when there not. Waited over 45 mins and got excuse after excuse. Not fit for purpose. Fail…!
Useless firm I waited 20 mins and when I called back they said they had no one to pick me up, waste of time don't use
Ordered a taxi from the Bull and Dog next to Lea Green Station. Got a 1 second call off them, so called them back. I was told my taxi had been and gone. It would have had to run me over as I was stood in the car park, so it was lies. I went back in to the Bull and Dog and asked if this happens often and was told never to use Critchlys as they are so unreliable, liars, and will never give a reliable service. The woman I spoke to on the phone was so arrogant and unhelpful, a clear liar that my taxi had even turned up. Please avoid these people or you could be supporting a firm that will leave a young family to freeze on the road side.
Picked up from airport early hours morning, driver on time and very pleasant.
