Strange characters in the study area but it's spacious, wifi works, has nice light and big windows circulating air
Perfect for studying: spacious tables, silent room and excellent free wifi. Simply beautiful library, the wooden stairs are a charm. Modest section of books.
Nice space but limited desks. STINKS OF URINE and Body Odour. The urine smell was actually horrendous
Me and my famaily have been here a few times after a dissapointing visit to Hackney library, where we were made to feel unwelcome and heavily monitored. The library staff here are friendly, engaging, helpful, and pleasant to talk to, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. This is the bare minimum in customer service and customer satisfaction.
I’ve been here twice. On both occasions the staff have been lovely. Very helpful and friendly. On my second visit I was yelled at by a man who had reserved a computer by putting his belongings on the chair but was not using the computer. Ither than that the computer seemed available so I tried using it to log in and print something quickly but he came in and made a spectacle. There were issues logging into the few computers that were free. I later found out that the printer wasn’t working also. Other than that, great library
Needs more staff/security upstairs. Often very rude and agressive people in the study area.
Really lovely library with friendly staff! My favourite thing about CLR is that they have a very wide selection of translated fiction, non-white authors and other hard to find/independent publisher books. There's always plenty of new stock to browse and I appreciate the displays, particularly the most recent 'blind date with a book' theme which is popular these days. I visit at least once a fortnight and have never had any issues. Keep up the good work!
Another great library to check out in London! Nice, helpful staff. Free Wifi I have only used the laptop area so can't comment on the library/book catalogue side of things. Not too far from the overground and surrounded by many buses, it is located near a busy bustling high street with plenty of food and coffee shops if you need a quick bite.
A nice alternative to working from home, but the power outlets have been out of order for more than a month now so can’t charge a laptop anymore.
Good staff, great library, although often used by alcoholics and homeless, i am sorry for them, but the smell in the library is unacceptable, many of them only go there to sleep or watching youtube. The staff should be more careful in this.
