Closed for lockdown but no overdue fees and you can click and collect personally I don't really know how to do that fir kids stuff but usually choose at random from an excellent children's library
Excellent customer service. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I would recommend this library.
Best library by far, i must have reserved & collected over 200 books from here over the years and the staff are always helpful if i ever need help : so accessible and a great selection as well
Lovely library, children’s section is amazing. However some library staff really need to take a chill pill.. my one year old pulled some books off the shelf in children’s section which she does every time we go, I simply put the books back on the shelf even in order. My child is literally a baby exploring her surroundings no damage or harm being caused and I as her mother will always ensure everything is left in its right place. An older gentleman absolutely lost his mind and got very snappy.. wouldn’t let me pick up the literal 6 books and made us feel so uncomfortable. I haven’t returned since due to fear my baby might touch a book! Ridiculous
Range of audiobookCD and graphic novel. Also nice calm place for study.
Wonderful local library. A real gem of the community.
Very nice library, big with plenty of study desks in attractive environment. Plenty of books, cds and dvds. There are no fines no money to pay since Covid and now cds and dvds are free to take out on loan. I think there is an area for teenagers and most likely a k8d's area. Next door is a musuem which is really really interesting, its small but packed with fascinating facts about the history of people living in islington since the place first eber ecisted.
Such a lovely, welcoming place with kids, teens, elderly people....my daughter and I spent a lovely hour browsing here. The staff were so sweet and helpful. We had just been sort-of turned away by nearby fashionable restaurant Morito so to be welcomed on a rainy day and treated with care and kindness felt like the best kind of public service. People who work in libraries and who deal with people from all walks of life, a place of refuge and for community to come together- these people are heroes! This library is the kind of place that provides deep kind nourishment...and no matter how privileged or insulated we feel we may be, we all, at some point like we felt at Morito, feel excluded, and this place made me and my child feel included. Thank you sweet and lovely Finsbury Library, you helped soothe a difficult day for two very grateful customers : What you do is amazing - you 'hold' a place for everyone in the community.
Lovely little library. I had to use the workspace for a few of hours and the staff were incredibly helpful. The library is well kept and it has a good vibe. A hidden gem in the heart of London. Would definitely recommend.
