Really nice library with a good children section. The baby bouncer activity on Friday morning is great! Good activities for the little ones, particularly the guitar and sing part!
A relative small one with just one round desk where you can use your own laptop there's another one with three public computers. But they have some nice comfy swivel chairs, uncommon in public libraries.
They have a decent range of books, crops library borrowing within Islington, and a lovely children's library area with nooks and crannies for reading in, as well as weekly story times and holiday craft sessions.
Very nice staff that creates a warm atmosphere and a sense of community. Very efficient service: if at all possible they will get you a book or a film over from other libraries in no time and let you know as soon as it arrives. Highly recommended.
Not sure of the best place to do this, but Islington libraries are brilliant! The staff are helpful and have a great selection, and can reserve books from any location
Great local library with very helpful staff. I visit often for books, printing, recycling bags and local events.
Grade II Listed early Twentieth Century library with unusual and striking exterior architectural features including alphabet letters carved into the stone tympani and impost blocks. This eye-catching and attractive building overlooks Thornhill Square and warrants a detour if adrift thereabouts.
Not the place to come if you want somewhere quiet to read or study. It is the staff who are the ones who make noise, conversing loudly, calling to each other across the room and making no attempt to speak quietly. Whilst this is my first time here, it is apparent that this is the norm.
Islington library within a lovely historic building, on Bridgeman Road near the junction with Caledonian Road. The library itself is very small but the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful if not actually quiet. Check out the other goings-on in the building too.
I grew up in this library very very nice people
