Great communal space for Hackney residents. Free wifi, you can pay for prints and if you register is like any usual library with books and DVDs. They have self checkout points but also people in reception to assist. It seems they receive school classes frequently but there is more space downstairs
It's really nice. A great space, clean and tidy. The ladies working there are lovely. I went with my little boy and they gave us a book for him, crayons and a drawing to paint... Wonderful first experience for my little one, we will come back soon!
One of the nicest libraries! Have been a member for years and they have really diverse and wide ranging fiction with the newest books in stock. Their staff are lovely and super helpful on the phone or even via email, just spoke to Adam now on some help renewing a book and it’s really excellent to have some proper human interaction and help
Lovely staff and a wide selection of spaces to sit / study and read. It is wonderful to see children and teenagers enjoy the space after school, making the most of reading and studying opportunities. Great community hub through and through.
One of the most favourite libraries! The staff is very friendly and there is a lot of books for all ages and stages. Also, they have a good schedule of events for children and development activities for adults. Highly recommended!
Lots of space for reading, using laptop. Free WiFi. Easy to connect, no need complicated process. Provide WC for reader to use, unlike Bromley central library or Orpington library which has no public toilet for reader.
What an oasis of calmness. Such welcoming staff - after a busy day in and around London it was a real pleasure to pop into the library for a couple of hours. Facilities were great - so much room for all the studious ones but plenty for the casual visitors to enjoy. Thanks All - 5 stars.
Amazing libary , lovely staff members however can be very hard to get seating in some days.
My fav library in Hackney!! There is always space available, modern and comfy to work, and super nice helpful staff. The only con is that some users are not respectful of the quietness a library requires for others to study/work.
I have been a member for years, as has my mum, both of us have taken out numerous books and used the service to order a book from another london library. I have also borrowed borrowed CD's DVDs and used the computers for Internet access and printing in there. Staff are generally helpful, and the hours it's open for are very good. Overall
