I purchased an investment property through the Clifton office, the process was made stress free and smooth by the Branch Manager, Tom. He made me feel like I was his only client, and ensured i was comfortable and relaxed through this stressful process. Between exchange and completion, Beth, the Lettings Manager talked me through everything i needed to know about their services and made it so easy to decided. Once the lettings team added the property to the market for rentals, Kayleigh found me the perfect tenant very quickly, by listening to what I wanted from a tenant. I will never use another agent again after experiencing such a high level of professionalism and incredible proactive service. Thank you Cliftons.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Cliftons Estate Agents. Not only were they incredibly unhelpful for the majority of my tenancy, they also also lied to me on numerous occasions. They made me feel like I didn't matter to them as a tenant. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Complete rip-off. At the time we had to pay a deposit to the value of one months rent (so far so normal), then an 'agency fee' to the value of 40% of the deposit +VAT. I considered this pretty exorbitant, but then that may well have been par for the course before this new bill getting rid of agency fees. And THEN we had to pay a referencing fee! Which consisted of Cliftons getting a 3rd party to contact us to fill in an online portal ourselves and uploading scans of payslips and passports etc ourselves. 
So all-in-all, upon moving in we had to pay first months rent, and then 1.67x that amount ON TOP.

Fees were a complete rip off, but i do get that this isn't a unique case. It was the lazy incompetence of everyone we dealt with from start to finish. They said I could pick the keys up at 9am, so I moved all my stuff out of my old place, put it in my car, had a friend take a day off to help me. Got there at 9am and said I was way too early and the landlord hadn't handed in the keys yet. 

Once I got the keys and moved in they then completely wiped their hands of it all and offer no management or service for the property after the point of moving in so I really can't see where the value is in any of their fees. 

I would recommend everyone looking at a Cliftons property to look with a different letting agency, or even go direct to landlords. I don't plan on ever giving them another penny.

I rented a property with Cliftons in June 2016. Cliftons were very helpful and they made the whole process a breeze. I would thoroughly recommend them and use again. Gemma has been really helpful throughout the whole tenancy and has really raised the bar on what I expected from a lettings agent.

We are a children's charity who provide free housing to families when their child is going through specialist life saving treatment.  Unfortunately to raise much needed funds for our charity to survive we have had to rent out one of our homes  in Bristol.  

Cliftons were aware of this from the start and have always been cautious when asking us to spend any money and very helpful if we need somebody to attend the property.  I find them both helpful and obliging at all times.
