The hotel suited us for catching up With family & pretty central for our needs. Staff were all lovely.Breakfast was good, room Was comfy & clean.But during our 3 night stay the train tracks were being relaid which was right outside our bedroom window, this noise went on into the early hours & it was so noisy it was horrendous, we had no sleep whatsoever. Surly the hotel would have been made aware of this being carried out, & could have let us know & we could have changed hotels. Sunday early hours of the morning 3pm onwards other guests thought it would be a good idea to bang & crash about, run about the corridor, slam doors. No consideration for other guests staying there. So with the lack of sleep our whole trip made it very unpleasant. Rooms: Rooms were comfy, clean & tidy, Food & drinks: Breakfast was good, nice choice, and hot & well presented.
Visited recently for a family event. Pleasant and helpful staff, good facilities with good food. Good sized car park on site. Location is good with a short distance from the M74 and a train station not too far away at the bottom of the main road.Rooms: 4/5
My husband and I stayed here as we had a wedding nearby. The staff were brilliant. The woman on reception I forgot to ask your name, long blond hair was so helpful. Really lovely, organised our taxi to ensure we arrived at our venue when we needed too. Just a genuinely nice person. Rooms: Our room was a lovely comfortable double. It was spotless and the shower was amazing. There are also soap/shampoo dispensers. Our room has a dressing table with built in storage, if you lift it up there is a mirror easier if you are doing your make up plus a full length wardrobe, an iron and ironing board. Everything you need. Walkability: Just a 10 minute walk to the local train station and a 24h garage. Food & drinks: We had the soup, macaroni, fish, the Sunday roast. All of it was delicious and good portion sizes. Noteworthy details: They do a full cooked Scottish breakfast. Our room was on the side of the main road but never heard the traffic or people coming and going.
Attended a couple of functions here and also had pur sons baptism after party, staff always very friendly and helpful. They allowed us access to a room to sort our decorations, and then they very kindly put them up for us before we were due, so we didn't need to come back the morning of. Food was outstanding, we got the full buffet, so many options to choose from, and everyone loved it and is still having about their food. Monies worth! Been told rooms are lovely, cosy and modern, friends have stayed for the functions I've attended
Very good service from the staff as we were in a private room on the premises. The food was really good and also very reasonably priced. We didn't have any hotel rooms booked so I cannot comment on them. Overall it was a good experience and I would visit again.Service: 4/5
Was visiting for a funeral wake so not representative of everything the hotel can offer. The public areas were all spick and span, the staff helpful and there was excellent food served. Parking is too limited but there is space on the main road.Service: 5/5

Went there for lunch. They have a great selection of well cooked foods on offer at reasonable prices. The staff were so efficient and friendly. Nice clean toilets. I will be back.Service: 5/5
Was there for a celebration with family lovely atmosphere and attentive staff the food was delicious too
